Giles's Kanreki Weekend - Gosport - 16th/17th September 2017

probably irrelevant but could mine be
Tony Stark
(Iron Man) -
Due to the fact that I will be there for Gile's Kanreki weekend no matter what. I'm working in Philadelphia returning home to Charlotte 9/12, then flying to UK (GOSPORT) 9/13, which possibly may be affected by Hurricane Irma. As I am following on the news. Weirdly I packed a bag to come over for my short night home, (9/12) which I may not make, but worst case scenario, I may be showing up in work clothes which aren't IH, and I apologize for in advance.

@ROman - such awful news about hurricane Irma
Really hope you manage to miss it, but as Rocket has already pointed out, we just want YOU safely here (and as Neph has pointed out, if you do have to travel in your work clothes Giles will definitely pounce on you and try to sell you something the minute you walk through the door - be warned!)
-
Sad but true.
-
Continuing to watch the upside down pendulum of the track of Irma, it is now predicted to be pretty far west of Charlotte. I talked with the airline today about flying directly out of Philadelphia, and was advised to stay with what I have. Due to so many flight changes due to the storm. So at any rate, I will be there.

@Madame Buttonfly, has anyone cancelled their hotel reservation? After a string of badly timed events came up, I thought I wouldn't make it, but I've got it all sorted out, aside from the hotel piece. Just hoping someone cancelled (Is that bad?), so I can be closer to the action. I've got my train tickets booked, now I just need a room for the night of the 16th

@UnTucked - this is great news! No cancellations but the Premier Inn still has rooms available if you want to book direct:

This is your best bet, and we are running a shuttle bus from the hotel to the evening venue (Explosion Museum). -
Hmmmm, the Premier Inn has a sizeable contingent of Germans and untucked? Might as well put the local constabulary on high alert now…
