SPOILED ROTTEN
Cats know how to get every last drop of attention, @LewisStonehouse
Your post has inspired me to hop on the couch with one of my feline friends.
-
@henry_david yep she’s top of the pecking order round here whichever way you look at it
-
I'm sure she probably doesn't GAF but I'm always so sad when I have to leave home 🥲

SUCH GOOD BOYS @Oaktavia

@henry_david thanks dude! They are fed high quality food (Blue Buffalo) and lots of raw fruit and veggies for shiny healthy coats.
@Matt such a good idea…I was thinking about a Very Danzig First Birthday in June for them LOL.
@ARNC haha they are definitely lap dogs and we do not see a change in the near future…though they are realizing they both can't fit on the couch at the same time anymore.
@Nkwkfld UHF and pug awesomeness!

I saw a video by NHK on the Shiba Inu in Japan yesterday. It's about fifty minutes long, so not your usual YouTube piece.
(Looks like you'll have to click through to YouTube if you want to watch it.)
What I found interesting was that the Shibas weren't bred for compliance in the same way that Western dogs were, as the Japanese have an attitude that dogs should be allowed to be what they are, rather than being made into something else.
The meal that one owner cooks for her dogs looks better than what I eat!

And shiba inu’s are notoriously willful and stubborn, so it seems like the breeding was a success.
I think that's true in general for the primitive breeds, of which they're one.
NHK have also posted a video on cats in Japan, in order to cater for the other 50% of the participants in this thread.
