@Oaktavia Thanks mate. He's a mix between a Parson's Jack Russell (they hunt foxes, not rats, leggier and larger than the little ones) and a Toy Poodle. His dad (the poodle) was also a 'blue merle', the litter was pretty wild, I'll see if I can dig out a picture from when they were all pups.
Edit: found it, and pictures of the parents:

The litter (mine is second from the right, he used to have a pink nose!)

@Oaktavia Ha! The woman who owned mum took the picture. We actually got the second-last pick as all the other pups aside from ours and one of the ones with phantom markings were already assigned to other buyers. I can't say with 100% certainty that we'd have picked ours at the time if they'd all been available... The one blue-merle with the black ears reminds me of an Ewok, and the one with a mix of blue-merle and phantom markings (4th from right) is just so weird looking... we might have picked one of those.
Ours has grown up to be a pretty good boy though. You'll get to meet him in Gosport come September!

@Mizmazzle it’s built right off the back of our property. It crosses off a creek and into a protected forested area by a river. Norma just loves to swim and run. Tons of energy!

After seeing quite a few uploads on here over the last few days I thought it might be time to introduce our two little fur balls to the forum and add a little of their back story at the same time.
In my late twenties (I’m now 39) I was single and looking for a pup to keep me company, maybe a border terrier or something similar when my sisters two chihuahua’s tied and happened to be having a litter at the same time. My sister was adamant the pups wouldn’t go to strangers homes and wanted to keep them in the family. I was positive I didn’t want to be a late twenties guy walking a chihuahua until one of the little pups was sat in the palm of my hand and my heart melted a little bit and I had to keep him. So Spud came into my life. Yappy. Angry. Slightly insane. Incessant fetcher of balls. Happiest when laid like a sausage between your legs with your feet up on the sofa.
5 years into my life as a chihuahua dad, I met Amanda (who’s now my wife) and she happened (I swear this is true) to be the proud owner of a long haired female chihuahua named Min, who even more strangely, happened to be the same age as Spud.
So Spud met his wife the same day as I did And Min… wary of strangers. So loving when she lets you in. Lover of tummy rubs. Excited for walks, then hater of walks when you get to the end of the drive.
Spud:
Min:Apologies for the essay and thanks to anyone interested enough to read it all, it just felt kind of strange uploading pics of these two tiny creatures with the hugest of personalities without a bit of back story ️
