IH-2526J - 17oz Duck Modified Type III - Brown
-
@Ross is there an updated size chart?
-
@Ross fantastic thank you

Sorry everyone, that’s it for me today. I’m clearly procrastinating anything work related.
-
Anyone have any size advice on these? I love the modified type 3’s iron heart produce for the hand warmers and slightly longer body… and love the duck version but it’s almost two inches shorter in length than my perfect fitting XXL OD Lefty.. almost all other measurements are the same or small enough differences to be unnoticeable.
The length is the only thing putting me off.. shall I just get over it and rock it short like a more traditional type 3?
-
I say embrace the shorter length, @DeeDee85, but I say that as someone who'll only wear short cut Type IIIs, and it really depends on how you wanna wear it.
Given where I live (SoCal), I hardly, if ever, layer, and typically just wear whatever top over a simple tee. If you're planning on wearing this as a layering piece, you'd probably want to size up.
The one thing about a shorter cut jacket is that it allows details like a belt to really pop and become a nice outfit focal point.
Anyway, that's my $0.02

@nonikes thank you very much for your help, very detailed and really appreciated! Will decide in the next couple of days
-
I went to try it on at Brund CPH today.
Awesome piece but I found it too short in the back for my liking. Noticeable shorter than the rest of my type 3’s from IH. I’m 190cm and was trying on an xl. I’m sure it will be great for a less tall person -
@PJ thanks for the info! My khaki corduroy is the shortest of my type 3’s and that’s borderline for me so it’s looking like I might end up missing out on the duck version..
Hopefully some slightly longer measurements on a future batch? -
It’s certainly possible, but I’d say unlikely, @DeeDee85, as these have consistently measured shorter in length.
But, as they say, hope springs eternal!

Picked up one from Selfedge

I sized up for longer length. Just a T-shirt underneath. There are some room in the chest area. I think it is ok if I wear with layers. Welcome any comments on the fit.
-
Well done. like SKT mentioned, could potentially size down one but this will be a lot more versatile at the current size.
-
Thanks @SKT and @flannel-slut !
My other type 3s are medium, which I can’t really layer. Good to have one that I can layer a bit. Love the color too. -
@Zinc2162 perfect fit right there

My favourite type 3 is actually evolving quite nicely. Let's see how far I can push it this autumn :).
