The (Less intimidating) Watch Thread

Oh hell yeah @Anesthetist I def want to see those. I have my first from 86 or 87. I put a new band on it because the old one deteriorated. This was before I realized it would not be serviceable. Honestly, considering how often I actually use a watch to tell time over looking at my phone, I could just wear it as a bracelet.

Garmin Fenix 5x w/ omega seamaster face + Nick mankey modern bond strap. In between WI & MN at the interstate state park. Glorious hike and camping.

Fenix 5x sapphire - first 1 lasted me ~5 years I think. They discounted my replacement heavily though. I love it. It’s my golf watch too with the Garmin golf app.

Such a fun and cool little throwback watch.

Picked this up a couple years ago. 70s Seiko diver.

Love that there's a less intimidating watch thread! I've just seen this for the first time. I'm a little obsessed with watches and have spent the last few years getting into them and buying, trading, etc. It's a beautiful hobby no matter what your budget.

Here’s a couple of fun ones:

@Mr-Linz There is also this one () https://www.ironheart.co.uk/forum/topic/22/watches-another-ocd-problem?_=1693867562155

@goosehd Thanks mate! Already on that one! Just glad there's one for people getting into, it's so nice that people can ask advice as there's a lot of pitfalls in watch collecting.

@Matt I had it custom made for me. Two of my favorite colors!

I also picked up the Mission to Mars Moonswatch but waiting on a better strap before posting that guy - hate the nato style strap it comes on so bulky and cheap looking.
