Tattoos

@tmg:
I've been thinking about a half sleeve tattoo for quite a few years now, and I think that this is the year to finally nail down my design - it's still evolving, but 2 of the details that I'm sure about are that it will be Japanese, and contain a phoenix.
The undecided bits are
- full colour, splashes of colour or just black and grey
- should I incorporate my only other tattoo, Scottish Clan badge (family crest) on my right shoulder, (which is approximately 20yrs old and looking in need of a refresh), or not?
- artist, although I've got a couple of recommendations from friends of good London based artists I've not yet been to talk to any
Dude if your based in London:
- Horikitsune (Horiyoshi III apprentice)
- ian Flower
- Stewart Robson; or
- wait until the London comvention this year (thats what i did previously, as the following are normally there)….. horitaka, horitomo, shige, horiken, jill Bonny, horitoshi.... The list goes on.
Im also bassd in London and i collect books on japanese tattooing. Youre more than welcome to have a look at them. The one thing i will say is that pheonix tattoos are typically both large and intiecate and your existing tattoo may interfere with the design.
Also, i would go black and grey personally, but thats just me!

Hey Theo. I met Bob Tyrell at an Iron Maiden concert in Toronto one year. Totally by accident. I walked by him and told my buddy that he looked familiar but couldnt figure out who he was. By the time we walked back i remembered and went and said hi. Super nice guy and very talented

Meant to put this up with my earlier post about the 1/2 sleeve that I'm planning, however this is my current, (and sole), tattoo, which was done when in '92, by a chap called Harry Potter Whether I can incorporate it into my sleeve or not, it's definitely going to get a bit of a refresh, as it's looking a bit faded and not as sharp as it used to be.
