With my carrier I can upgrade every year now, so I preordered the 6S+.
After a year with the 6 I must say its my favorite of the iPhone's so far, but I have a terrible habit of texting and driving, so I ordered the + to help me stop that habit.
Really excited for the new touch feature and the live photos. Will do a full review when t gets here if wanted. (9/25-9/30ish)

Yup, mine is arriving next Fri too.
Might be getting an Apple watch in the next couple of months as well. I tend not to mind my phone when I'm at home and this will make it easier to not miss calls (and not have to run up four flights of stairs when I do hear it ringing)
Only at home though, I will continue wearing a mechanical watch out since I usually have my phone in my pocket

iPhone 6S is a big fat yawn….
That's what they say with every "S" release, yet the damn things sell like crazy
Apple statement:
Customer response to iPhone 6S and iPhone 6S Plus has been extremely positive and preorders this weekend were very strong around the world. We are on pace to beat last year’s 10 million unit first-weekend record when the new iPhones go on sale Sept. 25.

Apple Watch right wrist, Mechanical left or something? I've been minorly tempted to dual watch. Mechanical is still where it's @ for most things… I've been watching the Apple watch wearers use them at work and they do seem at least partially useful

Looking forward to iOS 9 being out tomorrow, and the 6S arriving a week later . I probably won't have time to review other than saying 'it's good' which is pretty much expected.
have you tried the beta? i've tried it and was pretty impressed by the new functions but can't fully use the pull over stuff and split screen as i used my ipad mini one as the guinea pig.

Went straight to prod with iOS 9 and liking it. The new typeface is lovely, shift key acting normally, better battery life noticeable on my 5s. Nothing major about it, lots of good tweaks ahead of Friday's delivery :-*. Now I just need to figure out how the hell I ensure reception @ work call me to show my ID considering the people @ the desk change daily :|.

Checked out the new Macbook (not Pro or Air) and decided I would get one if I ever had to start traveling for work again.
The iPad didn't work out for me. It's functionality was too limited. I'd bring my Macbook Pro with me if I didn't already have to drag around a full sized Dell for work.
So for me, the Macbook would be an iPad replacement.

iOS 9 is already weirding me out. This morning, as I walked out of my house, I glanced at my phone. On the screen was a notification reading "10 minutes to Maplewood". Most Sunday mornings I go to a coffee shop in a neighboring municipality called Maplewood to grab a coffee and breakfast, and that's where I was heading when I got the notification. My phone now knows where I'm going before I leave. But I only just updated to iOS 9 the other day, which means it had already been collecting this information long before I updated. Also, this afternoon I noticed a new folder in my photos titled "selfies". I didn't create this folder, my phone did. I opened it to find all five selfies that I've ever taken in my life and no other pictures. So my phone obviously knows what I look like, searched all my photos, and found all my selfies and organized them into their own folder. Wtf.

that's exactly the shit I hate about today's technologies! @xtcclassic
just reading a book called "the circle"…it really shows how today's life is all about technologies taking over and how adopted and controlled we humans are by it. a great read!

48 hours after getting my 6S…it's ok
Battery life is impressive, screen doesn't seem like an upgrade to me from the 5S. If it is an upgrade, it certainly isn't the life altering experience as when I first saw Retina. I'm a little spoiled from my Macbook Pro Retina that I'm usually on.
The camera is a noticeable upgrade. Pictures are definitely sharper and more vibrant.
The "Hey Siri" function is weird at best. Maybe I'm old school, maybe I'm paranoid, but it feels like my phone is listening to me all the time waiting for me to address it.
The new 3D press thing is less than useful to me. I'm pretty proficient with iOS already, so it doesn't add a lot of value to me.
