The Great Outdoors - Hiking and so on…

Terima Kasih @endo or Matur Nuwun as they say here in Java.
I can absolutely understand why it’s your favorite country. The people are so overwhelmingly nice here. Add stunning nature, inspiring culture (and the food) and it’s like a dream come true.
Only the humid temperatures took me some days to get used to haha.
@Mizmazzle Oh man, that looks like a great place to hike. Enjoy the nature! have to add this to our „hike list“
Greets from Yogyakarta Airport. Off to Medan to explore Sumatra Jungles.

@Mizmazzle - for the last 10 yrs i'm hiking in denim, for the sole reason that i destroyed 2 pairs of technical hiking pants from patagonia and in less than a year. i got recommendations to go for fjallraven but denim is good enough for me. it does dry a bit longer but it doesn't tear on any occasion, and the zippers dont fall apart. i do use technical clothing for cycling but for hiking and trekking i go with denim and nike dri fit shirts. also i dropped the boots for approach shoes, but that's another story. ATM hiking in dolomites, no sun, therefore no spectacular photos but i'll do my best here

@prpx Not too shabby of a view to be honest Habe fun!!
I also hiked in denim for the past years but i sometimes don’t like how sweaty that can get. I think I found my dream outdoor pants in the 734 Rip Stop Cargos Haven’t tried them in colder weather but they were phenomenal in Indonesia.

@prpx nice yo!! I def hike in jeans on the reg in the winter. Summer gets really hot in Colorado so it’s more technical fabrics. Backpacking I always pack in my ducks and like a 12oz denim shirt for fishing in and bushwhacking through brush and off trail stuff. Nice and tough fabric. Damn near indestructible!!

Bridal Veil falls in Telluride. Haven’t been hiking in years so this was a nice short one!

Beautiful day in the Bavarian alps

at Mt. Lagazuoi : we had a great hike up on the 'Kaiserjägersteig', a simple via ferrata, and later down through trenches and tunnels from WWI (austrian vs. italian lines)
