Sneakers

Anyone remember Simple from the early 90s? Got a pair today out of nostalgia and ultimately, comfort. They have a memory foam insole. So comfy straight out the box…
I’ve been interested in picking up a pair for a while but am unsure how to size. How would you say they fit?
-
@Shoreman I have a UK 9, and UK 9s in Vans and 70s Cons. They fit roughly the same, if anything they run a little smaller (but not half a size or anything). I've been wearing mine all day today and damn they are the most comfortable sneakers I've owned in years.
The toebox is a smidge wider than vans and cons, which is great if you walk a lot as foot spread can be a killer in narrow shoes. I'm already convinced I'm getting another pair soon!

Thanks for the detailed response, @Stuart.T
I think I’ll try going with my regular sneaker size. -
Grabbed a bargain and snagged these sneakers a while ago. They're the No. 288 Bleeker in Natural. Completely leather lined, with a leather exterior and Made in Portugal. Extremely comfortable to wear. Their MSRP was ridiculously high but I payed only 10% of their original price for a brand new pair so a pretty nice deal.

I almost drowned them in Obenauf's Leather Oil trying to darken them but the exterior stayed the same only developing some weird marks. The leather interior darkened very nicely though and they've become very soft and comfortable. They used to bless me with blisters after some wear but now they're extremely comfortable and supple. I also swapped the laces and this is how they look after some on/off wear now. Love them!

Been looking around for some low-top sneaks like converse or vans that DON'T split where my foot bends. Does the vulcanized sole of some brands like Pottery and Moonster solve this issue?

Not sure what you're asking. You have a picture?

new balance x red wing. couldn't be any better. best of both worlds for me!

Was looking at them. But price tag seemed steep. They look nice there.

Are they a new release?Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I really like them too but am afraid to look for a price

they're USD250. which for a pair of made in america NBs are pretty standard plus the fact that it is a red wing collab (regardless of what their input is) Converting them to AUD at the current rate however, is the major killer.
way back when, red wings was my first foray into raw denim and boots and new balance was one of the first few sneaker brands i liked. back then, it seem almost impossible to mix the rugged look with sneakers much less these two brands coming together. seeing the news release, i knew i had to jump on them immediately..

Yeah can completely see why you got them. I was thinking of getting them for same reasons.
NB’s price tag seems to jumped a lot recently. Or maybe I am just getting old and remember when sneakers weren’t £200.

somewhere in my memory bank has always remembered them at about 220 - 250USD. i could be wrong. but it's been some time since i've bought a pair of new balance..

killer ones!
Tried to find them at a retailer in Europe, no efforts so far
Looking for size 13.5 or 14…
Any idea anybody?europe retailers sold out pretty quick. they are usually my go to since i get a better exchange conversion minus VAT plus quicker shipping. i tried sneakers france (SNKRS fr) and sneakers and stuff (SNS) but they both went pretty quick. so had no choice but to buy it from todd snyder. but they're gone now too i believe..
this release seemed like a pretty quiet one.. not much fan fare nor hype around it.. couldn't find what other retailers had them too apart from the advertises snkrs fr and sns..
