MikeC,your info gives me some hope.
@tatmantall;this is a statement when they replied to my email;_Thank you for contacting New Balance Customer Support! I'm glad to see that you are interested in the materials that we make the 1300 and 1600 uppers out of. Both of these shoes have leather uppers. Our shoes are sourced from a variety of locations, so we actually cannot account for 100% of the shoes' makeup. Since we cannot recommend these styles are 100% guaranteed free of all the pig originated materials, it may be safest for you not to purchase these products. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience.
I would recommend some of our ML574 models, like the "Backpack" edition, as this shoe is a synthetic upper and is free of leather and suede materials. I have included a link below:

To ensure proper comfort and fit, we recommend that you go to a retailer to be properly sized for the shoe. May we have your zip code to do a search in your area for stores that have ordered that particular style from us within the past 30 days? You are also welcome to search for retailers on your own using our store locator. They may not carry that style, but they might be able to special order the shoe for you.

If you're interested, I would be more than happy to put you on our exclusive New Balance Online Retail mailing list. This way, you'll be the first to receive special deals and promotions (like free shipping and discounts) on our current products. If you'd like to start receiving these preferred deals, please just reply to this email and I will set you up right away.
If you have any questions, please contact us via email or by phone at 800-622-1218
Sincerely,
Jake

http://www.endclothing.com/brands/new-balance/new-balance-m576nga-25th-anniversary-edition-105579.htmlIf it says suede or leather, it's cow. They specifically state when it's pigskin.
Thanks for the link MikeC. Really like the green version of these.

The revlite 574 is great and pig free.

Any one know of shops in London stocking the made in USA and gb gear? Cheers

Made in England ones can be found in most outlets. I got my 576 from Offspring in Covent Garden. Size? probably have a good range too, just down the street.

Hi guys ,
New to the forum . Waiting on a new batch of 666's so i can join the IH gang but been a raw denim fan for several years now. I am from UK but living in Singapore and love my trainers/sneakers however the high humidity over here ruins the glue so i have walked out the house looking great on more than one occasion only to return in trainers without any soles , and man do they make a mess when they disintergrate , much to the amusement of my friends . Stopped buying Nike's for that reason and more into adidas (check out the zx500 og in grey and red …nice) and NB. Take a look at the link below the 996 revlites ........

Another link to some more 996…......
Initially I did not like the look of the blue ones but a sales guy was wearing them here in Singapore ( Leftfoot) and they looked really good in the flesh.
Anyways hopefully i can grab some Grey …......very nice and understated / undercover which is how i like my trainers to be.
