Double pimped. Thanks again @endo for inducting me to the Brotherhood.

Slightly smaller arm holes makes sense because it's a vest, not just a jacket without the sleeves attached, and they are designed to go up into the pit a bit more to give that waistcoat look. I did notice a bit of that armpit digging when worn over just a single layer, but with thicker garments it's not been an issue for me.
I'm not really understanding how it's digging into your triceps when you raise your arms in front of you though... That bit of fabric between the hole and the pocket that scrunches up meets my arm at the inner-bicep or anterior deltoid when I raise my arms. I assume that you mis-spoke? Anyway, that part of the vest is now pretty creased on my vest already (other than take it off to sew on a couple of patches, I've been wearing it pretty much constantly since getting it 9 days ago) and is pretty soft already.
I'd say keep wearing it, perhaps over a hoodie or something, and it should soften up. I can wear mine comfortably over just a T now.
Yes, I was talking about the wrong muscle lol. I’m hoping it does soften up a bit or stretch, it’s made my plans of selling the XXL get put on hold. I just need to stop being a baby apparently.

You probably won't get much stretch, but with a little wear and time it will soften up. That section of fabric on mine is pretty much permanently creased now so doesn't dig in anymore.
-
Added another patch, just below the left arm hole. The skull peeks out from under my arm.
Battle vest coming along nicely.
Now where to put the octopus… and where to find a matching purple thread.

I also have an 888 octopus patch but it's trickier has lots of curves.
The trick is to do much shorter stitches, and do your best to ensure that the needle goes through as close to perpendicular as possible. Then look at the other side of the fabric and make sure your next stitch is very close to the last one, and 9 times out of 10 you'll come out the other side where you wanted to. (Don't push your needle all the way through until you've checked where you're coming out.) Longer stitches and you'll end up with a cut-corners look on all those curves.
Edit: like this

Looks good @EdH

Battle vest so far:
Going to get my tattoo guy to design me a larger patch to go on the back, and then I think I’ll leave it alone for a while.

Nice work dude...I am inspired now to try to sew mine on maybe this weekend.

All said, I think it took me ~4-5 hours to do the Octopus by hand, so stick on a sitcom or something and settle in! (I had Always Sunny on.)
If you're interested, I used Gutermann thread with colour code CA 02776 (I had a lady at the hobby store pick it out for me as I'm a bit colour blind).

Love that show...my wife will be getting tattooed tomorrow so I'll have some downtime to get at it.
