The 25oz denim is so feckin nice. Really love the look of the thick warp/weft.

Still can't create threads being a newbie with <20 posts…
so posting here... looking for trading a tagged 32 almost new pair of 666 VMC (same as XHS)
never washed, not hemmed, no fades (bought from a member of the forum)
for a pair of 31...
They were a tad on the large side when I got them and I lost a bit of weight after that. -
Sooo been telling myself I'd get the 25oz denim if its released in the 555 cut… then I had the "horrible" idea of getting these then sending them straight to denim doctor to get the legs tapered to a more narrow fit. Cause, you know, as if I need to spend more money... thoughts?
Listen to Seul. I made the mistake of altering IH jeans, in the past. Horrible decision on my part. It's a mission of mine to make sure nobody ever repeats my mistake.
EDIT: And to elaborate on why I feel this way, I took two pairs in to LA's Denim Doctor because I had lost a decent amount of weight. I decided to bring in the waist, thigh, taper the leg a bit– the works, basically. They had no trouble with the denim (21oz & 23oz), and did a great job, all things considered. The problem is that the fit just looked off, somehow. It was just little things here and there.
The entire experience really showed me how much care and attention goes into developing each cut. The pattern makers at IH are experts. This is their livelihood, and they take tremendous pride in their work. With the benefit of hindsight, I actually consider what I did to be pretty insulting to their passion. Now I have two great pairs of jeans just sitting in a closet, never being worn. I don't know what to do with them. I've considered just throwing them in a B&S when I list some other stuff; just so creative members might be able to use the denim for other projects. Sell them for stupid cheap. Give them another life. Maybe make coasters out of them, or something. I don't know.
Morale of the story: DON'T ALTER YOUR IH JEANS. I think it insults the people who pour their hearts into each pair. You probably won't be happy with the results, either. Rookie mistake on my part (first two pairs of premium denim), but live and learn.

Seul, your 666-XHSs are one of the best pairs on the forum.
Can't quote that enough. Most humble guy about it too.
