Was just wearing my Bostons today. So damn comfy.
-
Just got these the other day, oiled Habana. (Have a pair in black as well that I keep at work).

So Birkenstock sent me a friggin' pair of pink leather sandals in the wrong style and size last week. Totally annoyed, but they expedited my correct pair and they arrived today. Sized up one to wear with socks and they are still wearable with or without them. Love the Oiled Habana, really happy I chose this leather. Stoked.
Nice to see! Your feet congratulate you, as do I!

@JunkPants congratulations, that’s my favourite colour too.
-
@Brandrea Thanks! I think I'd have to agree with you on the colour.
-
@dinobarnesberlin thanks man

Bostons are the f'n best. I've got some taupe and just ordered another pair in the oiled black. Psyched.
-
@popvulture For me there is no doubt that they are comfy as hell. Appreciate you and the rest of the gang for leading the way

@Fades-for-future what leather color/type is that on your Birks? That is probably what I’d try to get whenever I get around to it. I also notice you use them on the narrowest option, which I would likely also need as I’m a Brannock C/D width with bony feet. Need to gather all the info I can because I’ll need to order them unseen/untried.
They look good with the 777! -
@motojobobo 99.9% sure that it's the color Taupe in Suede leather with a soft footbed.
Below are some information/suggestions based on my personal experience:
-
Soft footbed may be more comfortable in the short term, but regular footbed is possibly better (i.e., healthier and more comfortable) in the long term as it will mold much better to your feet. This is due to the soft footbed having a soft material added to the footbed which will prevent the footbed from molding as well as the regular footbed to your feet. There's a lot of resources on the internet that cover the pros and cons of the two types of footbeds. Note, however, that this particular color/model is - as far as I know - not available with the "regular" footbed. If you want them with the regular footbed, check out the "Faded Khaki" version - same leather, but with sage/army green outsole and buckles.
-
I went up a size on the Bostons compared to my Arizonas and the same size as my Birkenstock sneakers (model: "Bend Low"). This way, they can be worn with or without socks.
-
I also use the narrowest setting of the buckles. But if you need them to be tighter, you could theoretically always punch an extra hole or two.

@motojobobo , @cityofdelusion is totaly on the right way. 285 taupe suede leather soft footbet my size is 44, in Red Wings i wear 43 EU size.
-
@cityofdelusion @Fades-for-future your comments will be greatly useful when I move on buying a pair, thank you! I’ll most likely go with the regular footbed.

Alright.. maybe i’ll hop on this train as well.. what are your favo colors on the boston?
