Thanks @jerkules yes the OD's had several hot washes and then got hit with bleach after some grease stains from working on my bike. The hot wash with bleach is what stripped them back to what they are now.

@motojobobo you liking the bag?
I tested the waters this summer with a little waist bag to see how my wife would handle the mockery of it (I wore it like a sling, and she only made one snarky comment) - so I'm looking to upgrade this holiday season and really like the IH ones.. Is your's duck?
-
…@motojobobo always wise to have a machete handy at the front door!
...'Life is dangerous'.

@Appfaff I love this bag but my use for it is 99% as a motorcycle bag. Use it across my back for all errands that won’t require big stuff. It is 21 oz superblack denim. Believe a brown duck version exists and I bet it is a beauty. I think there is also a hickory version. Super strong bag…I’ve once carried a bottle of wine along with a meter-long chain and padlock and the bag will sit on my back exactly as if it were empty. SERIOUSLY OVERENGINEERED piece of kit, even by IH standards.
Haven’t used it as a waist bag yet…to me it looks like the quintessential motorbike/bicycle bag. I bet H san uses one of them.So far it’s strictly been for yard/botanical uses @vaquero357 ; pruning tree branches most of the time. The little portable bench next to it is my knee-saver when it is time to pull weeds around the lawn.

Have been looking at that. Can I ask if you could get a couple of books in it and gym kit (shorts, T-shirt, not shoes)? Thanks.

Only small books… 18 x 14 cm max. Bigger than that and the corners will suffer. Shorts & tees no problem as they are shapeless It is geometric stuff which can’t make efficient use of the irregular shape of the bag.
If you measure the books you’d need to carry I can check it out for you.

great pic @popvulture and I love that chair, got it as a dsr

@endo thank you! And re: the armshell, nice! That one behind me's a Modernica but I've got a couple of original parchment sideshells with h-bases at my dining room table. Never too much Eames
Also, I need to stop using that one as a clothing receptacle haha…

Haraki-san made the 25oz after a request from Giles. He was sceptical as to how comfortable they would be and if you’ve tried the 21oz, his signature denim, you’ll know comfort is important to him.
He used a lot of time to make 25oz as comfortable as possible. He has steadfastly refused to go heavier than 25oz because he feels the sacrifice of comfort will be too great.
-
I haven’t even broken mine in too much — definitely have changed a good bit in terms of lessening of crispiness, but there’s still a bit there. Even considering that, there already very comfortable.

@sethatwork - ODs are looking radical, and those waffles are pure class my man!
