Hey guys, looking for some tips here.

I have a Flat Head demin jacket (size 40), it’s their storm rider. I love it, but it’s quite fitted, and I can only really wear a T shirt or a thin pullover under it which is fine, the Jacket is pretty warm and the fit is what I’m looking for.

I was down town on Friday and tried the single riders jacket from the Flat Head because I’ve been eyeing it for a while (also size 40). It feels amazing but I was wearing a UHF that day and I couldn't even get my arm in the sleeve. I wear a medium in IH and the size 40 jacket was rather small. I got the UHF off and with only a Henley on it fit real noice, but with the zip up, I couldn’t reach the side pockets

So, I am doing it right, the jacket is supposed to look amazing, but you can’t really move in it? Or, do you all generally size up in these? Will the hide soften over time to a degree where moving your arms in a functional way can be realized?

Hey! I was fortunate to pick this up on the second hand market. Damn, what a jacket!

One question, the little leather pull tab is missing on the zipper; obviously this doesn't really matter but it's convenient to have when pull the zipper with gloves on. Does anyone have a suggestion on alternatives or if one could get one of these?

Picked this up recently and it's way nicer than I expected. 12oz is right on the money for the weight!

Time to travel back in time!

I picked this up on the second hand market and it appears to be an IHSH-27 and I think it‘s still unwashed. It‘s quite big compared to the IH medium shirts I have.

Does anyone remember how much these shrink?

I picked up this shirt second hand and I’m trying to place it. Is this an old version of the IHSH-33 with the pearl snaps? It’s really heavy, feels heavier than the 12oz IH shirts I have had in the past and it’s more a large than a medium. I read the first IHSH-33‘s were raw, so cut a little large since they would shrink a little…maybe it‘s that?

Anyone know what this is?

@AdamJ same here. I‘ve had Dehen jackets in S before and they are too small.

@jaysomethin this arrived today. I‘m a medium in everything from IH including the shirts. Sometimes the medium jackets are snug and I can only wear them in summer, like the IHJ-61 and the IHJ-124.

This fits very well and I easily fit a UHF or a thick sweater underneath which is exactly as I hoped. It also looks good with a Tshirt under. Really happy about this one!

One note: it‘s a short jacket, so keep that in mind. For me, it‘s as short as I could go but I do have a long torso. That being said, I reslly love the shorter cut and because it‘s boxy, it works really well.

@AdamJ I didn‘t even last to the end of the day I wrote about this jacket…

Hey guys, any ideas on a restock on this in 2025?

@ZackB I tried so hard to resist, but it was futile. I gave in and went with my normal IH size in M. I'm happy with my past self for giving in now though; the more I see the jacket, the more I like it.

The black is also still on the cards for me, I love work jackets and wear them a lot and the two I currently have are a little snug. I'll look for new homes for them to try and justify new jackets to my wife (she's almost given up, but she's not quite there yet). The action back on this really appeals to me, I had this on a Freenote jacket and it made a huge difference to the mobility.

How is the mobility for you in this, does the action back make a big difference? I've stacked this jacket so I don't yet have it.

On such a short jacket, and the fact that the zipper doesn't go to the bottom of the jacket, I would say a two way zipper isn't really required. My IHJ-61 had a two way zipper and I never used it; that jacket was also about 2-3cm longer than this. I also think the one way zipper on a work jacket like this is more classic (if that matters to anyone else )

Price drop to 300 EUR. Pains to see this go but I'd be happy to see it go to someone it fits

@Alex yeah I appreciate that‘s the intention, but I know there will be variation in the sizing between Jackets in the same batch to a degree.

When I compare to the IHJ-143, this one seems smaller, but is that really the case or just a product of the samples you picked from the batch. No need to get into stats but just a general feeling, since this is the same patern, it should be the same fit taking into account the natural sizing variation within each size.

To the point: if you pick a random jacket from this batch in your size and put it on, does it feel smaller than you expected or about the same as the IHJ-143 you put on? Granted that was probably some days ago and hard to say for sure.

I am debatong whether a large is a better fit here since from the measurements, it‘s more comparable to the M in the IHJ-143.
