Thank you guys. @Mizmazzle I can confirm, the nice drapping and how ridiculously soft it is now. It‘s just THE perfect weight for a denim jacket. Funnily enough I got enough comments from non-Iron Heart people how heavy this jacket was

Moving forward. Not as fast as the guys on the 19oz version, but I still love it.

@Oaktavia Thank you buddy. Lately I gave them two washes as I keep spilling stuff on it. So eventually the indigo is really reducing

Over 900 days meanwhile. The indigo weft is living a life on its own.

Have worn them for almost 500 days by now.
Absolutely incredible and I am still debating with myself, if I should do the same to the SBG Type3 once the modified version comes out.

New set of pictures. Still wearing it super frequently. Combs and „stacks“ seem to settle now which also shorten the sleeves quite signifiantly (which is a good thing)

@Richard I have or had the same issue with the sleeve. More like 2 inches. I am sure you will lose this inch when the ellbowcombs have settled.

Here‘s my gunpowder dyed Copeland.
Over 8 years old already. Used it as a jacket on an almost daily basis to start with.
As it shrank quite a bit during the washes, I use it as a wintershirt nowadays. Absolutely love it and it became incredibly soft and comfortable over time.

My superblack vest behaves as @eastrocker s. It does not drape at all even after 8 years of heavy use and washes.

I can confirm what @Graham said. I have the SBG as 555 and this vest since 2016. I‘ve washed the vest at least 20 times and wore the hell out of it and it is still super stiff. The SBG however was sweatpantslike soft after one wash and a few days of wear.

I find it still superhard to take accurate pictures of overdyed stuff. Today, during sunset however worked well.
Also my plan to wear it all winter is going great. I use it as a top layer above a woolen sweater and deck vest on milder days, with a down vest on top on colder ones and sometimes even instead of a shirt inside.
Hard to fade, but I feel, I have cracked the bonding of the black dye a bit by now.

Meanwhile I have 840 days down. While the front is holding up incredibly well, the backside is getting weaker in some areas.
Might have them repaired very soon to continue the wear journey.

I just love this denim. „Only“ 474 days of wear and I plan to wear it till 1k

For the ones getting the SBG Type3: I can‘t wait to see heaviest faded ones in the future.

@Asger-Ebdrup This looks great and seems to behave very similar to mine. Fading very slowly but when it happens, the fades look great🩵
Here is mine. I‘ll try to wear it all winter.

Little update. Definitely a very slow fader, but we are getting there. Promise!

Had a few stitches done on mine to prolong their life.
