I have a pair of Birdwells - 311 in Kelly Green. Got onto them after the Papa was raving about them and they're great.

RE: Viberg
Yeah, the Viberg stitch-down vs. GYW argument makes for a lot of boring reading. People are struggling to accept it because really it's being done to achieve greater productivity and output as the brand grows. Many would rather that the company stays as it has done over the past five years and remains our little secret. That said, I do love the traditional style of a Northwestern work boot.

RE: Viberg
Mine came with leather laces, though I've always used the waxed cotton ones as it seemed more appropriate for a military boot. I think the leather laces got used when I tried to smarten up my old Red Wing oxfords.

RE: Viberg
I'm always happy to be an enabler. You'll love the boots when they arrive. Did you buy from Viberg.com?

RE: Jelado
I'd like to see more beat-up Jelado 55 jeans around. The faded ones I've seen are impressive.

RE: Tricker's
Those are effing nice Rocket! Where did you get them from?
Feeling the Trickers love today: I have my C-shade Keswick brogues on…

RE: Viberg
It's a new pattern that they've been trialing. One or two images have popped up on IG and Styleforum in recent months.

RE: ALDEN
I dig the new look. Really ought to get around to having my Indys resoled as well but I want a replacement cork sole and need to send them back to Alden. The hardest part is having to part with my favourite boots for several months.

RE: Viberg
This thread has been delivering the goods again as of late! Cold Summer, I totally love your new boots. I have the stitchdown version and either way the leather is just the greatest thing. Sometimes the 2030 last feels a shade tight on my right foot but I can't bear to part with such nice boots.
I'm currently considering copping a third pair of Vibergs. Everytime I think I've got out…

RE: Viberg
Those engineers look seriously good.
I miss the Viberg conversation over here. The guys on Styleforum are always asking about shoe trees for their boots and how to fit their Boondockers into a 25 boot rotation!

RE: Self Edge SF, NY, LA, PDX, MX, & ATX
Self Edge's commitment to the short-sleeve button-down warms my heart. They're essentially a three season piece of clothing for me these days and no one does them better than The Flat Head.

RE: TCB
Broak, yours is the first TCB type II outside Japan that doesn't look too long in the body. Nice score.

RE: The Real McCoys
Love that vest. It looks like the kind of basic piece that you can get years of hard wear out of. Really nice match with the green flannel too.

RE: Mister Freedom
Looks good. It's sure to get better with age as well and the colour will perhaps become more subdued.

RE: Viberg
Oh nice, I thought it was a little more obscure than that but you can't go wrong with Viberg CXL. The leather on my pair is about twice as thick as on my Indy boots (though I love both…).

RE: Viberg
Very, very nice pair of boots @jock1624. That leather is gorgeous - what is it?

RE: 3sixteen
^True story. I think that Large would work out unless you want a spray-on fit (which has it's place but might not be all that comfortable).

RE: Watches - another OCD problem
Congratulations mate and welcome to the Black Bay club!
I've been following the launch of the new Black Bay Black over the past couple of days… Very nice looking addition to the range but yes, the timing is odd given the upcoming auction. Still enough difference aesthetically to separate the auction version from the general release though. I'd love to see the BBB on a khaki or olive NATO.
