I'm with you there @summ3rhays & @Graeme
I'd love a beautiful vintage custom bike in the garage one day but when i'm riding the Suzuki and it's working well nothing beats that feeling. Not that i'd call it modern with its dirty carbs but still. I loved the Harley for what it was but sometimes in certain corners i felt like it didn't want me to make it. But riding the Suzuki is just a pleasure. Having both made me appreciate both sides of the fence.

@Sam there's a review of the R nineT Racer at Visordown. The riding position sounds a bit more extreme than the other bikes in the range, but it looks good.
A set of Wilbers suspension, or the Ohlins Retro 43 fork and matching shock, and a set of serious Brembo brakes would be a good set of upgrades. Plus bar end mirrors, tail tidy, smaller LEDs, and maybe some BST Carbon Wheels…
It'd be fun to see what @foundrymotorcycle could do with the bike, but I wouldn't want the bill at the end of it.

Thruxton Run is a series of films about Wenley Andrews, a custom bike builder, turning around a project for an upcoming show in Sydney.
There's a series of videos on YouTube. This is the first one, which isn't great.
Part three, which has just been posted, is more interesting as Wenley is starting to cut up the bike's frame.
Bike EXIF have a piece about a Street Twin Flat Tracker. It's another light custom, but I really like how they've done the tail section.

@den1mhead enjoy the ride.
@twin, Jules took this picture just before I set off and then I posted the picture upon my return.
Cheers, I had a blast -
Also rode all day today,my favorite riding weather. Start temps in the mid 40s,quickly warming up to the 50s topping out in the low 60s. The reason I got involved with Iron Heart in the first place was to have great jeans to ride in a varied temperature range. Had chaps on in the morning.

love the bike @den1mhead

Cheers buddy. I'm sure you'd love it even more if you took it out for a blast

Article on a custom Knucklehead build at Revzilla, where the builder fabricated everything apart from the engine.

Admittedly, I know next to nothing about motorcycles, so forgive the potentially dumb question- wouldn't the exhaust burn your thigh and butt routed that way?

Yes. Yes it would.
The air would stink of scorched hipster. -
woman hits me at a roundabout. bike got a little scratched and a broken mirror but my 666UHR got off well.

Glad that you're OK @louisbosco, roundabouts can be treacherous. The bike can always be repaired.
So did the UHRs get some interesting fades from the experience?
