Pronto 15th Anniversary 16oz Slubby Selvedge Medium/High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans
-
Thanks for the kind words everyone. I just did as everyone told me to do, wear your jeans and your lifestyle will show.
This denim is amazing, the details are amazing, I'm learning to love the alternate W placement, and the cut in the size I got is perfect for my current build.
I'm not sure how these will turn out for several reasons.
First, I'm hell bent on see what I can do with a long term bulk, so there is a question on how long I will even fit in them. I've never been able to go longer than 3 months while eating right in the gym. My whole life I've been skinny, like 6'3", 140#s skinny. This is my first time in my life where I have the stability to do a bulk program as long as I have the motivation. Based on past experience, I doubt these jeans will make it much past the 3-4 month mark if I stay motivated and on my eating plan.
Second, I don't skydive much anymore, the IHxBxHCx25oz have rought 1200 and the DWCxUHR have roughly 800 skydives, that is a lot of time scrunched up in basically a ball while sitting in an airplane, I think that was a factor more than anything, scrunched up in a ball in a tiny space for many, many hours. I also did my weird shower with my pants on cleaning routine weekly, I don't have time time or ambition for that anymore.
I'm half tempted to treat them as I have my as I have Levi 501 shrink-to-fits, wear them for a few months then start throwing them in the washer. I have one pair I wore down to paper thinness, my only dislike about them is I should have quit wearing them 2 or 3 months earlier and during that time I got some black tar stains on them, ah well, I still love them.
I say that, but then I look at my past jeans and can't help but fall in love with them all over again. I don't wear any of them much at all anymore, if ever, they just hang in my closet holding the memories of their era. They are all in need of semi-major repair (by my standards) to be wearable daily again. I also feel they have had had their time in the sun.
We'll see what happens long term.
Anyway, now that I've written half a book… onward to the wearing of them, I'm sure the will be just as stubborn as the rest.
so a soak tomorrow and then on with the wearing.
Zero need for a soak unless that's just something you do…..
Its just something I do.

Thanks gentlemen, I appreciate the positivity! Fanya & Licorice Noose (I think that was his name) are some of the most epic faders in IH history! Good seeing you back in the neighborhood.

@fanya - what an incredible set of fades. makes we want to fast forward a few years & see what your slubs look like then
@Anesthetist - fit is on point bro
@Filthy - im nearly let down we didnt get to see you boil these
@Fadez - That IHJ-97 is look'n FLY, makes me want to snap up the last L. Perfect shade of green. Thats brilliant how youre wearing it over a UHF

They appear to be very washed so I didn't think it was necessary to bother

Have a couple fit pics
My waist is probably like a 37 so a 36 was absolutely perfect. The rise on these isn't as high as my other 888 pairs. I really like how these fit.
Poor lighting, but there's already some blues popping through on the slubs…. After two days wear.
I feel like I am cheating on my 822 so I am glad to be back in them for the night. 🥰

Congrats to all that have received their pair so far! Love how the fit looks on you guys!
I came home from work with a surprise box at the door. It turned out to be the slubs that I ordered on the Pronto site 🥳
Not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but bc it pertains to this particular pair I’ll give a brief summary of how the experience of purchasing from the Pronto site went down. Looks like they still have sizes left of this denim. It’s pretty straightforward and quite similar to purchasing on other sites, so don’t be intimidated.
1. I used Google Chrome to translate the website
2. Browsed new arrivals. You can easily find Brands as well.
3. Clicked on the item
4. Checked size
5. Clicked add to cart
6. Went to cart and proceeded to input information connected to shipping
7. When it came time to check out with CC I got denied and a fraud alert, but a quick phone call to confirm the purchase w/the CC company allowed the transaction right away.
8. After CC allowed transaction I got an email from Pronto saying the order was being Processed.
9. Make sure you check your email bc they might need info from you before sending the item out. I needed to give them my phone number.
10. If you’re good to go you’’ll most likely receive an email with shipping info
11. Let the impatient waiting for the goods commence. As a quick overview - the order was placed Friday Oct. 15, 2021. I got an e-mail from the Pronto Denim Admin Support Team the following Tuesday asking for a phone number, then Wednesday an email regarding tracking was sent. FedEx was the carrier and was originally supposed to be delivered by Monday Oct. 25,2021 but it came today.

Can’t forget the pics…
Fit pics to commence….
TBH kinda nervous on how the 888 cut fits so didn’t even try…just ogling the denim. Will try to get some fit pics this weekend.

Wow Rox, you got 001/200… That's awesome. You're number one in my book too!
-
Congrats on #1!
Funny thing, I had a premonition of sorts that my pair was going to be my lucky number (107).
I got #106
I’ll take a good fitting pair of jeans over a lucky number anyway [emoji1]
