RIP Filthy Mike
-
I only had a couple of interactions with Mike, but remember fondly a time where he articulated so beautifully how his love for IH and denim kept him going in dark times, a reason to get up and get dressed so to speak…
I really related to his way of thinking, truly a stalwart of this forum.
Rest easy, Filthy.

Totally shocked
Will miss you Mike , RIP brother .
Always be in our Iron Memories ! -
Mike and I had a lot in common and often facetimed over last spring and summer just to chat about denim, relationships, and music. Really easy to talk to, and I saw him as a cool older brother that I never had. He sent me an IHT-1600 for an early wedding present that I love and now will see it on a different level. It was super nice to connect with him beyond just at a denim-related level. I have not communicated with him since late last year, as I thought he needed some space and a break from social media. If anyone can PM me with details about this, I would greatly appreciate it.
Really bummed about this.

Such awful news and at a loss for words. RIP Mike.
-
I know we are just acquaintances on the forum. I conversed with him in March 2021 when he opened up. He is a good soul. RIP, my friend.

Man, I am just seeing this. Absolutely crushing.
Love you, Mike.

Sooo Saaaadddd to learn this.
I own two IH overalls thanks to Filthy’s super enthusiastic push for them.
Thank you buddy, you will be heavily missed by us. R.I.P

The most horrible news, Mike was such a dude. Absolutely lost for words x

This is very sad!!! RIP

So sorry to hear. Very much love goes out to him

I'm pretty new around here, but Filthy is probably the first person I "recognized" as I perused the forums. For obvious reasons–his name, his look, his passion for the brand. He seemed to be in every thread I was looking at.
I saw his recent fire sale posts in classifieds and I could sense the pain. Having to give up some of his cherished items to raise money to save his truck, etc. Unfortunately he was a good size or two heavier than me and so I couldn't buy any of it, but I knew deep down inside this was a good guy going through some tough shit.
God rest his soul.

That's extremely sad to hear. Absolutely a terrible loss for his family and of course for us here at the forum. May his soul Rest in Peace.

So sorry to hear. I always figured I'd meet him eventually at an event. Definitely inspired my first bibs and like others will miss seeing his posts and presence.
