@Dmart Oh yes, of course I gave them an initial hot soak before wear day 1

@Heavy_blue @Daniel-San Just checked my washing machine manual. I used a typical warm wash which is in the range of 29-40C.
Good to know. At 35" I'd be looking to do a hem, but if it were to shrink more and closer to 34" I might be good to cuff forever (2" double cuff makes a 30" inseam). The inseam as it is right now is a little unwieldy, particularly at this thickness. But such is the raw life!

What should I do about this?
If it was me, I would turn them the right side out, put them on and forget about it

Man I can’t wait to wear these again…

Yay, temps are dropping and these beauts will be back on my legs.

I picked up a pair from mild blend. Looking forward to getting these going this fall/winter.

@Matt
get this thing from Amazon. Best and safe !
Can definitely recommend -
@Daniel-San I almost bought one last week then I decided my jack is the same exact mechanism and so far have found it to be way easier than o thought to use for this purpose.

So far so good. The waist is taking forever to dry so I out it outside. The New Mexico sun should take care of it. It’s stretched to 16” across with about 2” on each side. Think that should get me somewhere I between 32” and 34” which is where I want to be. I’ll keep y’all posted.

Hey Everyone!
Wondering what the chances are that I could get away with just a couple hot soaks prior to wearing these?
Reason is, I only have access to a top loader washing machine, and in my experience, anytime I wash my denim in a top loader, I get some marbling - even if I turn the spin off, wash cold, etc.
Anyone have experience with just soaking these guys? Or maybe a top loader wash on delicate with no spin on a new pair wont cause marbling?
Thanks in advance for any and all input!

One hot soak it was for me. 50-60deg water for ca. 1 hour with some agitation here and there. I know some people here might call me crazy for that but take a look at my pics to convince yourself whether it did the jeans any harm
Just really make sure to soak hot (so you can’t leave your hands in the water) and to agitate so everything can settle in nicely.

I gave mine an initial 2 hour hot soak followed by cool rinse in the bath tub. I wore them for about a week and was surprised at how baggy they still were, so gave them hotter soak with some detergent for 4 hours followed with cool rinse. After they dried fit was what I expected. I’m sure there’s still a little more shrinkage but I think that got most of it.
