Picked up a pair to see what the fuss is about. Surprised with how sturdy these things feel. Also a bit more narrow than I was expecting in the forefoot which is cool bc my feet are a little narrow. Only complaint is that I wish the heel pocket was a little more defined, but with how stiff the soles are I think it's just exacerbating it a little. Hopefully they break in.

Top in the loft this weekend putting away summer rotations and getting down some winter jackets when I came across a pretty white NB 25th anniversary box.. The materials on this 577 OG colourway are so so good

Not much left but a good sneaker site is shutting up shop and has a few things still about

Anyone snag the new 991v2's? Was not expecting those to drop!
-
@jerkules I have a pair and got the same size I've gotten in all my other 990s. Feel like it's still a good size. Sorry if that makes it more confusing!

Nah that helps a lot @mumonkey72 thanks for the input. Consensus seemed pretty split on the usual places like Reddit. My V3s feel great, my V2s are maybe a little slim, but I’ve just gone for my usual size.

Had these MIUK 576 now for almost exactly 3 months, part of which included a bunch of walking/hiking on a long trip to Japan. The heel pocket slip noted calmed down a bunch as the stiff sole relaxed. Also surprising was how much the area right over the toes loosened up as the midsole has conformed to my foot. For sneakers these sure broke in a bunch compared to some other modern ones and they took quite a bit of time too. It wasnt until after Japan and many 20k step days did I notice any difference in their fit.
Anyway, generally I'm impressed with these things. They feel like they'll last a good long while compared to other casual/fashion type sneakers.
