As some of us plan to order (when the orders are possible), or are waiting for their Wills Jacket, I was surprised that there is no mention of another, a bit younger company making chore coat / work jacket from the very same 18oz (24oz when coated) twill canvas.
Yesterday I ordered their heaviest piece (The Chief Coat Tan) and will report back to You what is it all about when it arrives (approx. 1st of Nov).

@Karol that’s an interesting looking jacket, thanks for sharing.

I second support of Heat Straps. Their coats are no joke. It will likely outlive me. I picked up one of their Patriot Coats that they did for Nicks. Wearing in beautifully and just a great coat for central Oregon winters.

@TelemarkTumalo ohh man that is a rarity. I remember that collaboration, they even added weather wool as lining, looks beautiful on Your photo!

Glad to see someone making a post about them. I mentioned heat straps a few times in the ship John thread, but also didn’t want to overstep talking about another brand.
I have a wills from a few years ago v1 that I wear a lot, I like it but don’t really understand the backup they got all at once. I feel heat straps is on par or even slightly better. I’ve talked to Jordan a bunch and he’s a super great guy.
As far as heat strap stuff I own, I’ve got 2 heat strap vests and one chief coat. Honestly my chief coat doesn’t have much wear it’s very heavy but epic quality I got this in 2022 and honestly was a steal as at that time it was less than a UHF. I wear the vests more than anything and really like them. One is the Nicks version with the leather collar and wool liner, the other is a gray regular chief vest. Both go great paired with a cpo or hoodie
I’ve also got a workhorse v3 that’s suppose to be delivered tomorrow. Pretty excited about it. I’ll be sure to get some pictures of it
Here is a few pictures. I can also get some more early next week.

@Karol that looks excellent. Looking forward to your fit pics.

@Karol Just in time for cold weather. You are going to love it, I am sure. That thing is tough as nails. Heat Straps builds their coats with no detail spared to withstand abuse. Plus the wax coating keeps the inside dry. Love it!

Hard to get a good read on the fits of these pieces bc the models are wearing them out of box. Normal clothes it wouldnt matter but with something so heavy, they look very blousy. Looking forward to more pics when you guys get around to it.

I don't want to judge before all facts are in (You are so right with the out of box comment), but having it for half a day (and wearing it constantly) I can say that they definitely run on the larger side. I have M in most of my IH stuff and here even the S that I went for is roomy. An XS with longer sleeves (that they don't do yet) would bring it to the trim fits we associate with IH.
We are dealing here with true workwear cut that allows for comfortable movement no matter what. Layering will be no problem whatsoever. -
Ahhhh the way Filson USED to be

The fabric and stitching is way better when You compare it to Filson, but the roomy cut is reminiscent of their older cuts, kind of like Carhartt.

Agreed @Anesthetist every model they have on their website looks like they are wearing 2 sizes up from how i would want it to look.
-
@jordanscollected I agree. Every fit I have seen here so far looks 100x better than their site.
