IHM-41-GRN - Quilt Lining M65 Field Jacket - Olive Drab Green
Initially introduced into the US military in 1965, the M65 Jacket was designed as a cold weather field coat, which has since become a firm civilian favourite after appearing in movies such as Taxi Driver and Terminator. This Iron Heart take on the classic M65 remains true to the original, including four front pockets and a stand-up collar with built-in hood - but with the addition of useful side hand-warmers and an internal pocket for more secure storage. Designed for durability, versatility and warmth, for this season we have used a tough 8oz 50/50 cotton/nylon blend shell, with a polyester filled, quilted nylon lining providing an extra layer of insulation during the colder months. The padded lining is easily removable, allowing for more year-round use in the milder seasons.

Is the outer jacket the same as the M65 without lining? Or it's thinner and lighter? Thank you .
-
to be more specific, when worn without lining , compare to IHM-27-OLV, is the 8oz 50% cotton/50% nylon shell of IHM-41-GRN as thick as the 100% cotton sateen of IHM-27-OLV?
without waterproof Ventile, is it less warm than IHM-27-OLV? and no water resistant ? Thank you very much. -
That's very helpful, Thank you.

Based on the pics posted looks like the IHM-41 has a slightly slimmer waist and P2P than the IHM-27.
Am I right or simply an inaccurate feeling? (I'd like slimmer waist on the M65) -
Will the quilted lining be available separately? Just wondering about retro fitting the lining to my waxed fabric M65?

Earlier this year I bought an L in the non-lined version, IHM-27-OLV. Ended up swimming in it and returned it (been waiting for a M to be restocked).
Is the sizing smaller or the same on this lined version?
My ideal shoulder width for shirts is. 46 cm / 18,1102 inches - so normally I'm an XL in IH shirts.
According to the size chart M= 44.7 cm /17.6 inches and L= 47.8 cm /18.8 inches
I wouldn't want to do the same mistake and order another L if it's going to be too big.

@rovdjurstorget im concerned with the size as well.
I'm 6' 190lbs chest is 42" and i typically fit XL and some L in iron heart.
The measurements for this jacket look like i should go with an M or L, but I'm concerned with it being to big especially when you take the lining out to wear it -
Swooped up a medium hopefully not too big

Just received! Badass jacket
But I think the sleeves are too short for me -
@Pipeboss713 Looks good. But I agree that the sleeves might be too short.
How would you describe the difference, aside from the liner, in fabric/weight compared to the IHM-27? Is this more like a traditional M65? And is the collar less stiff?
