IHSH-333-OD - Ultra Heavy Flannel Blanket Check Western Shirt - Sax Blue Overdyed Black
For Fall/Winter ’22, we may have been a little overzealous in our UHF ordering, resulting in a surplus to demand. Instead of just leaving these shirts on the website to slowly sell through, we thought we’d try something a little more unique. Although we’ve overdyed flannel shirts before, this is the first time we’ve used a black sulphur dye - the same process used for our indigo overdyed black denim - on our UHF fabric.
Submerging the fully constructed shirt in black dye darkens and subdues the lively designs, creating a subtler variation without losing the essence of the original colour palette. Being a sulphur dye, the charred appearance will gradually lighten and patinate as the fabric ages, revealing more of the vibrant colours concealed within the weave.
Because this was a reactive fix, not a planned production, there are gaps in the size run where we sold out of some sizes before deciding to overdye them.

@goosehd and the HD pearl snaps
-
@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot very true and I don’t see this one lasting very long! Buy them quick…
-
@goosehd sizing on this one doesn’t quite work for me. I’ve learnt I can’t force it, won’t wear if I’m not comfortable….
-
Thems sure is perty, though
-
Yep this is my jam too but I think it’s sadly too small for me. The shrinkage is real!

aw crap do they really only go up to XL? @Alex
-
I just emailed to see if there might be an XL that works for me. Fingers crossed.
-
@AdamJ do these calendar entries show up as our local time? What’s the GMT so I can double check I’m seeing the right thing?
-
@popvulture You are GMT-6 so release time is 10AM for you. Unsure if the calendar times are time zone specific, so I am looking in to that now
-
@AdamJ yep that’s how it shows up — thank you! Something I’ve always wondered about but kept forgetting to ask.
-
$hit didnt think i would want four more shirts lol
-
@Alex fell free to tell me to mind my own business here, but how did you go about re-shipping these to Japan, getting them OD'd and shipping them back without raising the retail price? Did you simply hitch on other shipments, and use the same OD vat as other products being done at the same time?
