@Matt Unfortunately not. Have another cruise booked which ends 22 Sept in San Francisco, spending 13 days in Alaska. on it.

Geez I’d love to be able to make this happen. Not looking like I can shake it out though. We’re planning a trip to Vietnam over the summer.
Once the school year starts the Mrs. is deep into her CPA exams and I plan to move to a new school next year. Then this party is a few weeks after the school year starts. Those are my woes regarding missing a hang with y’all. -

@scooter am I remembering correctly that flying into Gatwick makes for an easier trip to Gosport?
Yes. @goosehd couldn't have put it any better...

Just a reminder, even if you are only a maybe at this point,
PLEASE FILL IN THIS FORM TO RSVP
We will send several communications between now and then asking for people to reconfirm, or cancel, but we need to know our catering range sooner than later.I can see a few ‘yes’s in the posts above that are not on the form yet.

@nytimes_gaiden As late as you want

Cool that this is happening we had a great time at the last one. Chicken is hoping for some dog sized IH. An indigo leather jacket would suit him.

Just make sure you get on the ferry to Gosport, not the ferry to the Isle of Wight like a colleague of mine did on a recent trip to Portsmouth…

Also make shure to keep the f@@king ferry ticket, since it covers both ways and don't throw it away after just one trip, like I did years back.

(the ferry ticket is about £4, so not quite the end of the world..)
Yes, I still felt kind of stupid.

For anyone coming from Heathrow, the National Express bus will also offer a direct route from terminal to Portsmouth, The Hard - which is where the ferry terminal is. Usually around 2hr45-3 hours. You wouldnt want one with a changeover though. Just make sure you book from the correct Heathrow Terminal

@AdamC
Got booked in at the Gosport Travelodge looks okay and cheaper than Premier Inn
See you then
