IH-888S-UHR - 21/23oz Ultra Heavy Raw Selvedge Denim High Rise Tapered Cut Jeans
-
I gave mine an initial 2 hour hot soak followed by cool rinse in the bath tub. I wore them for about a week and was surprised at how baggy they still were, so gave them hotter soak with some detergent for 4 hours followed with cool rinse. After they dried fit was what I expected. I’m sure there’s still a little more shrinkage but I think that got most of it.

Thanks for all the input! Much appreciated.

@edubz Just soak your jeans for a few minutes in a tube and put em in the washing machine. Turn your Jeans inside out before....Never had problems with marbeling this way...

Any news on restocks of this or any other heavy 888?
According to the plan I need a new pair in March.Thanks.
-
Any restock dates in sight?
-
@AdamJ Nice. Thanks!

Snatched up the last pair available in my size, sized down one from my normal 30 in an 888.
Challenge accepted, UHR. You shall be biked to work.

@drewfonse hell yeah!!
-
I hear ya. If they shrink an inch, I should be good after wearing and stretching. I may warm instead of hot soak and then cold wash if they fit a little too well initially.
-
Bad pics, apologies.
I decided on the 29, one size smaller than my normal 888. Glad I did. I ended up cold soaking and cold washing. I know I may run in to a little more shrinkage, but I’ll keep the water cold with these. They fit well. Same slightly balloon-y front crotch area until it relaxes. I love em. And yeah, after the soak, preposterously stiff haha. Like buttoning up cardboard. Needle nose pliers were a godsend!

Considering the weight and sheer toughness, they feel really good. I’ll probably get another 3/4” taken off of length

@Graham any 633s headed to SelfEdge? I need to try out what the UHR hype is all about after 10 years with the IH brand.

@motojobobo To date, there have been no 633's in UHR. May have changed though.
