IH-736-ODG - Ripstop Cargo Shorts - Olive Drab Green
Our 6-pocket cargo shorts, made from 7oz polycotton, hydrophobic ripstop fabric. Commonly utilised in outdoor clothing where function is preferred over style, ripstop offers excellent hydrophobic properties and is highly durable, woven with a pattern of reinforced squares which prevent the fabric from tearing. Slightly shorter than a traditional cargo cut, these shorts are lightweight and very breathable, with the ripstop’s hydrophobic coating means that they’re also water resistant and very quick to dry. Add to this button-fastening rear pockets, two large cargo pouches and a Universal brass zipper fly, and the result is an incredibly comfortable, versatile pair of shorts for the summer.

@Matt The chart shows the waist of tag size 32 at 32.9" though...
-
Ah, my bad then, I interpreted your post as if you needed a TTS 33" waist. In that case, yes, I don't think you can get that much stretch out of ripstop. Sorry (or: luck you I guess).
(Source: I have the IH-734 which is similar, but not the same)

I am a 33-34" waist too and it seems I am out of luck with these
-
On second thought: Not to give anyone any more hopes, but asking the crew for a bigger than 33" (tag size 32) or smaller than 35" (tag size 34) waist is always a possibility. Desperate times call for desperate measures. Or something like that.

I test drove the sample of these shorts in October during the 3 Peaks Challenge - climbing the highest peaks in Scotland, England and Wales within 24 hours, I cannot speak highly enough of them for outdoor pursuits, super comfortable with an amazing range of movement to them, they kept me dry during a spillage on the minibus but being shorts, they weren’t a match for the sideways rain from hell that greeted us at Scaffell Pike
Still haunts me that we had the flag the wrong way round! It was a quick photo before it turned into a parachute

@AdamC - did you get much stretch from them in the waist?
