Pocketknives/Kitchen Knives/Fixed Blades

@Matt some mass produced knives are built to pretty decent tolerances, certainly good enough to carry and use. One of the knives I really love to carry a cheap Chinese mass manufactured liner lock that came free with a purchase of a ZT flipper from an online seller, but it feels great in the hand, great action/detente, great steel. I wound up using this freebie more than the knife I actually bought. I love my “nice” knives but they really aren’t necessary, and whatever is in my pocket is going to get properly used, and not caring if it is damaged in the process is key… so I’ve shifted my priorities around cutlery for sure.

My collection, the most carried is the beat up Swiss Army Pioneer with bail, goes great in a 5th pocket. -

@SKT well in that case, I should show you my Spyderco where I replaced the factory micarta:
That is a thing of beauty @mclaincausey. Reminds me of the older Chris Reeves Mnandis with beautiful wooden scales: ironwood, burl and cocobolo.

Esee cleaver. This thing is heavy. Chipped the blade on my old cleaver and decided to give this one a try. It’s sharp. Blade gets thick fast.

Super sharp Spydie Ikuchi

@Anesthetist seems like an ideal edc, how does it carry? I’ve always like S30v steel too
-
My edc. Replaced the last one that I lost in the brush swamping for a wildfire in 2019.

Benchmade kitchen knives. Great gift from the wife a few years ago.

I got these for the wife a few years ago

@SKT I love smaller, lightweight, slicey things so for me it’s perfect
