IHSB-BIGBUCK-BLK - Black Deerskin Western Shirt - The Big Buck
-
@goosehd Wow the Big Buck really moulds to your body after a while!
-
@goosehd wow the sleeves looks very well molded to you body after the wash!! Love the “arm honeycombs”
Took it out first day for me, sleeves are definitely longer than the pale rider. Overall too.
-
@louisbosco The arm creases set long before I ever washed it (and I used that term very loosely) as it was more of a thorough wetting/soak.
Anybody looking to do it to their shirt needs to be extremely careful as I can imagine it could be destroyed easily. By this I mean that the shirt can be stretched out of shape and you will not be able to get it back to previous. It is exactly like using a chamois to dry a car. Perfectly square when you pull it out of the bag and use it the first time, to never see that shape again.

I put mine on all day yesterday and today will too. I forget how nice this shirt it. Totally unlike anything else I’ve got.
-
@Oaktavia Who doesn’t?

@goosehd thanks for sharing the photos. That is what I was thinking it would look like. I am seeing a little bit of brown peeking through on my cuffs as you might be able to see in my photos. That is why I was asking you wondering how far along yours got after a season. I am already getting excited. I have noticed similar timing with indigo fading and in the same areas. My other western shirts won't see the light of day anytime soon haha.

@Oaktavia good gosh golly those are some killer shots. That first one holy moly! Looks like its def losing some color already, what a beaut.

from the before/after it almost looks like the length in the front shrunk a bit?
-
@pechelman ...think it may be how I'm standing as I don't think it's shrunk.
-
@WhiskeySandwich I am wondering if it will fade at the same rate as indigo denim does roughly. I know that natural veg tan leather patinas much faster than denim fades, but that is apples to oranges with black dyed leather. I know it's not always about the destination of where the fades and patina goes (@Matt) but I am always thinking about it. I can't not think about it.
-
@Oaktavia ...funny, I don't think about it and just enjoy where it's at and the journey. Interesting how people view the fades differently. Every once in a while I see something that catches my eye and I take a picture of two, but otherwise I don't put much thought into it.
