@Matt - stay married and buy fucking Nick Cave tickets!
-
Another gem last night - Steve Coleman and Five Elements. Some weird and exciting counting patterns (not an expert but i think indian ones) and african influences melodies.
Give them a listen on spotify, i somehow missed Steve Coleman so far and now, enjoying his work very much.

Arena di Verona has a very electrifying atmosphere!
Especially in the late summer evenings.

Stapelton should be a good show--Sturgil is coming back to Berlin next year...and going to see Marcus King here on Halloween .
And Im not even that much of a country fan ---- but damned if Im not liking it lately -
@dinobarnesberlin Heard about Sturgil bing in Berlin. Are planning to get tickets?
-
@Dmart I need to get them soon ---will probably sell out before I know it
-
I’m seeing The Zutons locally on Friday - not a huge fan, but I love seeing accomplished bands playing small warm-up gigs in front of 3-400 people.
I’ve also persuaded a good friend to accompany me to see Nick Cave next month in Birmingham - he’s a fan, whereas my wife was originally going under duress, err…I mean only going because she loves me, and didn’t want me to have to go alone!
-
@Nocturama glad you’ve found a friend, although I think there’s also something great about being on your own in a crowd
-
Enjoyed myself a lot this evening. Buzz and Trevor Dunn did their acoustic gig with a lot of joy and created eerie and a bit sinister atmosphere. If you have a chance-go see them
-
@Mizmazzle - yes, a rock club in Zagreb
-
I've been to Gregory Porter concert last night. He's a huge bloke, with awesome stage persona and powerful, beautiful voice. Not my cup of tea, so i didnt get lost in music, but hats down to him and his band.

On a day when the news might or might not have given rise to strong reactions of various kinds, I had some unalloyed good news just now - my place on the waiting list for this came up and I’m going!
A promising start to a week of musical exploration in London coming up at the end of the month - not at all my usual thing, but that’s the point.
