Just don't wear it while painting

@Sir_Cuffs-a-Lot @Mister_Brue thanks gents. I just pulled out my Extractor jacket (same leather as the Pale Rider) and wow it has so much character. It has ever bothered me either. I think what sets the black Big Buck apart is how dramatic the darkness of the dye is on the leather. Check out these photos I just took of my Extractor:
Seeing all of these spots makes my mind at ease and helps me see the larger picture of leather evolution.

Hahaha no no way!

@sabergirl thanks, the more I look at it the more I am feeling the same now. Thanks for the reassurance.

@Oaktavia i feel your paranoia man! It’s such a nice and expensive shirt. It’s funny how we love the patina we wear into our gear…but damn if it must be the “right” kind of patina haha. I feel this on the regs.
I sort of see it as a great motivator to push on to the next level of the fade progress of this shirt. We know ultimately our best pieces are the ones we’ve pushed so far we worry less and less about how we treat them and they just become effortlessly incredible.
Also…100% agree with Dennis on the suede brush. I had some blemishes on my split steer and used one of those. Gentle is best practice with spot removal on this type of gear.

@Mizmazzle @goosehd thanks guys, I appreciate the insight. I don't feel like it's ruined I just had a bit of panic this morning. My mind wanders quickly. Do you have a suede brush you prefer and could recommend?
Edit: haha @Mizmazzle I just reread your response and you're right on the money, gave me a chuckle.

@Mizmazzle Great shout and what I was trying to find a picture of!! Also, recommend investing in a suede eraser. Probably can find a combo pack from Amazon.
There are also many tutorials on YouTube on how to use them to prevent damage. As @Mizmazzle said, slow and gentle is the key to long term cleaning and care for suede.

@Oaktavia As you said in the “Extractor” thread:
I think I'll quickly go punk rock with it and think feck it.
This is the way.
-
@Mister_Brue i have to be reminded sometimes
-
@Oaktavia I have learned the hard way to send leather issues to the professionals - they’re expensive and time consuming though. Rago Bros in NJ is my go-to.
-
Any plans for a restock on this? If I’m a xxl in western shirts should I be looking at a xxl in the big buck?
-
shirt is looking great @Oaktavia nice to see the patina and wears on it after just a couple months!!
