@Brian said in Indigo invitational Y4:
I understand that adding a bit of bleach when washing isn’t against the rules but jeez if that isn’t gaining a massive advantage
Might aswell just ask everyone to buy a pair of stone washed and be done with itWho was adding bleach to their washing schedule?

Big congrats to my boys who made that 10, I definitely saw some of you higher…but regardless of the judging yall are my champs @Jcaz6996 @32oz_denim @denim-dawg cheers boys
-
@olblue always gonna be upset people at the end of a competition. Sorry you didn’t crack the top 10 man yours were definitely one of my favs.
-
@Oaktavia @Davids_denim man in all honesty I’m stoked to make that 16. That’s a big deal for me. Last year getting 4th in the rally was unreal. My first year was top 100, this year top 50…made that goal I’m pumped to be up there with fade legends…and I get the support from fade legends like yourselves…and in that regard I smashed my personal best. But thank ye, ain’t got nothing but love for yall
-
@Davids_denim you smashed it my friend damn fine pair. Guess the wind wasn’t blowing our way
-
I know you’re a master fader.
Would you enter the competition? Seeing the experts judges don't know their arse from their elbowOne word for Bryan is full time JOKE.
-
well boys I think I found my pair for next year…I think they’ll create “true vintage” fades
-
@Kasi you are too good my man. Thanks for keeping it real Mo

@Cents-or-Non-Cents row third place was for sure. She's documented it on her reddit posts. Like I said above, I really dig her pair and respect her for doing her own thing and making her own jeans but those are wild card / honorable mention jeans all day long compared to the others.

I’m brand new to this competition idea, and really the high end denim world in general. I find the drama hilarious and fascinating.
Would it be a fair comparison to say that the ROW could be compared to the NBA, while the SEA would be the WNBA? It’s normally the case that when a smaller specialized league or division exists, it exists because if those people were in the “big league” they wouldn’t stand a chance. Why else would they be separated out?
-
Never heard of high contrast getting referred to as "cartoonish".
But I guess that sums up the row judging. They wanted a totally different aesthetic and without disclosing their judging method before the comp, it's coming as a big shock. I imagine some people would have done things differently or not entered at all had they been transparent. -
My wife told me that the less natural, ultra contrast fades remind her of the Affliction era of men’s fashion, and has also called it “very Jersey Shore.”
