Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) - Sunglasses and Frames…
-
@louisbosco I’ve got the smaller Molino frames headed my way. I already have the larger 55s as sunnies with prescription lenses. When I bought the new smaller Molinos they were described as an optical version with clear lenses. Fingers crossed. I’ve never worn glasses all day. This is new territory for me.

@Mizmazzle thanks a lot!!

hope they fit well. looking forward to pictures

That was a good point raised about about getting used to glasses too. Your skin will adapt a bit, though I think the skin on the sides of your nose is extraordinarily thin. You may just have to live with marks on your nose, but should not have to live with discomfort.

im a little late to the discussion regarding rx / all day comfort with their acetate frames. Getting a good adjustment is key and not all opticians are equal. I've not found anyone local to me that does a great job so every time I travel to work to Denver, I go see Scot at Queen City. He's super nice and does a great job. Went to see him twice last week when I was in town to adjust some taos that are much better now.
What I'll say about the JMM acetate frames and comfort is that it's nearly impossible to predict how a frame will sit or be comfortable. My largest frames (yves) are actually the most comfortable and they feel the lightest on my nose and ears. Conversely, the smallest frames I own (taos) have been the most problematic to get a good fit. Unfortunately, you just gotta wear them straight for at least a few hours imo to understand if they'll be comfortable or not.
Thankfully, I dont "need" rx's all day, so I try to remember to take them off during lunch to give things a break for a bit which helps comfort a lot in the afternoon. If I really wanted something JMM and super ultra comfortable, I'd look to one of their mixed acetate/titaniums like the crevel or williams.
