It has always caused raised eyebrows when I mention that from the time I spent in the UK, fish & chips loaded with vinegar, the full English and Shepherd's Pie have been culinary treats I like to this day.
Tradtional British food has a largely undeserved reputation abroad for sure.
Granted this is coming from a yank, but if either or both of you end up in London, I feel like Fergus Henderson does some pretty damn fantastic stuff with traditional British fare at St. John.

I quit wearing IH bottoms through any airport a long time ago. Between heavy duty bottoms and some pieces of leftover medical hardware in my leg, I was a sure bet to get the full on pat down and extra scrutiny. In a way, it's the inverse of wearing sweat pants to the strip club.
