Where do we report issues with the new forum?
-
@JunkPants - I’ve had the same thoughts, for the same reasons.
-
Personally, I like the black bar with the title. It lets me know what thread I’m in and is useful in keeping things somewhat organized.
I read just about everything that is posted on the forum and without it, I would get confused on what conversation is going on in what thread.
I use it most often when I have to move posts from one area to another.
-
@goosehd - I definitely see your point, but I just look at the address bar or the top of the tab if I loose track.
-
@JunkPants The address bar doesn’t give me the full information I need and without the black bar it only gives me the section of the post not the thread title.
For example: The section is “New Forum Frequently Asked Questions” but the thread is “Where do we report issues with the new forum?”.
If you remove the black bar with the title, then things will get messy.
-
@goosehd - I should have made that clear, but I was talking about computer/desktop use with regards to the address bar and tab. I can see the bar being more useful on a phone/tablet.
-
I don’t care about the bar so much as how large threads are almost impossible to move through because it jumps so much as it loads.
-
I too notice the jumping if I’m browsing any picture-heavy thread on my iPhone. I have to keep track of which post I was on last because the infinite scroll will bump me 10 or so posts up from where I should be.
-
It's not only on infinite scroll mode, it also happens in paginated mode.
If I jump to the last post in a thread, it is shown briefly, then the photos in the postings above show up and the post I intended to jump to gets pushed to the bottom.
I wonder if embedding the photos differently would solve the issue. If there was a placeholder with a specific size even before the pictures load, that would circumvent the issue. -
When I'm on the product page for bags (OGL FMTTM duffle, 21 oz holdall) and I click "view on forum," I get an error message.
