This Huntsman spider was living in the gap around the hinges in my car's door.

And this is a Golden Orb Spider, which I saw last weekend. She was quite big.

@cityofdelusion the irony is that those big and scary spiders aren't dangerous. In fact, a Huntsman will eat the more problematic ones.

This neat lil guy mayfly flew onto my jacket this afternoon.

It's one of the few insects I know pretty well because they're so well known for fly fishing. It's also the only insect where i know the scientific name and what it means.

Looks like we’ve got another swarm at the office. A bit blurry but I’m not planning to get any closer when the bees are this active!

Nearly ran this sluggish cinnabar over with the lawn mower.

Guessing this one was looking for my honey, but couldn’t get the cupboard door open!

@Oaktavia yes, we have office honeybees - I think 3 hives currently. I’m not involved in looking after them (it’s my boss’s project) but I can see them from my window, especially if they decide to swarm or are disturbed.

Northern Finland. Bit of fishing, but mainly wondering around with minimal reason

@aksu I’ve encountered black flies and mosquitoes like that a few times in northern, swampy, boggy areas and did not enjoy it. The fishing was excellent even though I was miserable.
