@endo lol I so hope they do Pneuma
-
@jiminstitches I'm seeing them Birmingham on Thursday, first time! And KGLW the night before, woo!
-
@prpx Mike Watt is an absolute hero in the punk scene and one of the ones I admire most.
-
@Matt what he and the Minutemen did was enough to establish him as a legend and he’s been nonstop ever since. Just wish Boon hadn’t died so young.
-
@T4920 ah mate, yeah its my first time too! What a week you'll have! We'll catch up after
-
Yeah, also seen Watt with the Secondmen and that gig was one of the best ever. He is doing well, has some temporary issues - walks with a crutch, yet still performs with perfection and preciseness of a true legend. And for sure, ends every gig with a scream “Start your own band!!!!”
Wonderful guy -
@tody your last comment gave me a good chuckle and poses a good question - on a band's last tour is it better to suck or to nail it? I can see pros and cons to both arguments.

Was able to catch up with friends I hadn’t seen, in some cases, in decades at Widespread Panic in Memphis. These are friends from high school and college, all sharing a passion for this band and each other. It was so great to finally get my wife and child (at brunch—no way she joined us at the shows ) introduced to these folks, and these folks to each other in a couple of cases where they hadn’t met.
Two spectacular shows and wonderful vibes throughout. Margo Price and Paul Cauthen were great openers and sit-ins.
I’ve seen this band well over 100 times, having rarely missed shows in the mid-south in the late 90s to early 2000s, and they still got it even having lost their lead guitarist and drummer.
-
I love them. Glad you had fun!
-
@tody this probably doesn’t bode well for me later this summer. Was it one or two small things that made it bad or everything?
I’m not a fan but a friend is coming to town for the show and I agreed to go. At least I know Sick of it All will be decent as an opener.

Got tickets for Amyl and the Sniffers in Hamburgs Große Freiheit 36 in November.
-
@Inorganic That's sort of philosophical, isn't it I have seen NOFX so many times, some good, many bad - I kind of knew before what I could expect.
-
@hbg1 It was a combination of everything... I didn't see any of the support bands and arrived late just for NOFX, which kind of set my mood. They seemed tired and delivered a lackluster performance - I have seen them much better in the past. But that was only the Cologne show, last years shows in Barcelona and Amsterdam were much better.

Had an amazing time at Tool in London last night! They were incredible and Maynard was on top form! Seeing Danny Carey perform Choclate chip Trip was really special moment but the highlight for me was Jambi and Invincible, sounded incredible! We got Forty Six and 2 at the end which was a nice surprise. Here’s the set list and Merch purchased!
The supporting act Night Versus were cool and worth checking out, there drummer was a joy to watch.
