I was cutting a guy’s hair a couple weeks ago. He’s a regular customer named Fernando. He has a really deep gentile voice so it was no surprise he was the announcer at the local strip club. His dad is a customer as well and we aren’t allowed to talk about it in front of him because he doesn’t know.
Fernando moved on from that gig to ring announcer for Albuquerque’s local wrestling organization. So Fernando comes in all school girl giddy asking for a great cut because he has a meeting with the dude who just bought the local wrestling outfit.
Any guesses who that was?

Kings of Leon in Birmingham on Saturday night - excellent sound, superb audience participation (considering the indoor arena venue and size) and a better overall performance than when we last saw them 2 years ago. I have been sceptical of the new album, but the new songs they played came across well.
Warm night to be indoors - hoping the weather holds out this week for Foo Fighters and Pearl Jam. -
first day of inmusic festival in zagreb
Sleaford Mods - fun as always
Viagra Boys killed it, great performance
and in the wee morning hours DEADLETTER - fantastic performance, there's a future there for sure - recommend to listen to them on spotify, great live act as well

End of another incredible Red Rocks run with the most influential band in my life….Widespread Panic!!
- My sister brought me to my First show in 1998. We still go to almost every show together.
- 26 years and too many shows to count (about 150) Traveled the country seeing this band.
- Met my best friend 25 years ago and best man at my wedding there (we were in the same abnormal psychology class in college but bumped into each other at a show and the rest is history)
- Met my wife at a Panic Red Rocks show
- Two years later got engaged at a Panic Red Rocks show
This weekend was three incredible shows for the books!!

on the last day of the festival i really enjoyed squid - kids are really good. MES left a huge influence, and since he's not around noone is scared of him calling them copycats
Give them and DEADLETTER a listen, there's something there for sureSmashing Pumpkins closed the day, crowd was really into it, i couldnt say - they are just not my cup of tea. But the sound was amazing, they know what they are doing. No photos

Saw Foo Fighters in Birmingham, UK (Villa Park) yesterday evening, supported by Hot Milk and Courtney Barnett.
I have seen a review this morning which stated “At this point, Foo Fighters aren't just putting on a show, they're putting on the biggest rock'n'roll celebration on the planet, a three-hour, 27-song masterclass that truly sets a standard all rock bands should aspire to.” Whilst I take that with a sizable pinch of salt, it surely was one of, if not the best stadium/arena gig I’ve been to - it was everything you’d expect from a FF gig.Geezer Butler of Black Sabbath (and local to the area) came on for a rendition of Paranoid, and Shane Hawkins came on to play drums on This Is A Call. Josh Freese on drums was just phenomenal throughout - especially his drum solo.
Re the support acts, Hot Milk were decent, but strike me as trying too hard to display a rock n roll exterior (formulaic), which others have done and are doing better IMO. Courtney Barnett performed well, but the deadpan delivery isn’t the best formula to getting a crowd up for a party.
