IHSH-397-IND - 21oz Sashiko Work Shirt - Indigo

@clutchdealer Close, it was released in March. 12oz is absolutely correct

Got both my large and XL today. As mentioned I ordered the large first and then was worried I'd need a size up after the talk here and ordered an XL asap . Looked at the large as I was taking measurements and thought it would be good visually, but upon putting it on, it's very fitted. Arms are tight when I cross my chest. Ill get some pics after the wind dies down but as of now I'm probably keeping the size up.

Got in on Saturday.
Fits as expected. A little snug around the chest-armpit/front shoulder area. Hopefully it loosens up with wear.
The texture of the fabric makes it an instant favorite. -
This is the large. I think it is pretty good and if I didn't have the XL to compare id probably be happy enough and just be careful washing but going through all my pics, i have let go of my shirts that fit like this eventually as I hated getting sweaty pits from it riding there. I love the look but I feel maybe I'm just getting older
Here is the XL the only thing I'm not a fan of ATM is the back view, kinda big. But I think I'll be able to wash this without a care and probably turn out ok. Thoughts?

@Denimminer man…I think you’re going to have to go with what feels best to you.
Personally, I think the large looks spot on. But I hear what you’re saying about the pits being a bit snug. That’s how mine feels too. I do think the fabric is going to loosen up nicely with some wear, but perhaps not so much under the arms.
The XL doesn’t look sloppy by any means. Maybe a bit boxy/ billowy in the body. But once it softens up I’d imagine you’ll get a more relaxed drape , plus the overall comfort you’re looking for.
Overall, I think the large looks best IMO

Thanks man! GAH buttons are so dope! Really diggin the placement
-
@Denimminer I have the same issue. I love the trimmer look but cant stand the tight pits. I went XL and imagine it will settle in after wear and washing.
-
I ended up sending both the XL and XXL back — this one just wasn’t in the cards for me. To be fair, work cut has never been my jam, because when I pick a shoulder measurement that fits, often the body ends up too wide. Didn’t notice the pits on the XL but @Matt i definitely noticed the biceps being uncomfortable.
@Denimminer I totally agree with Mizz that yours looks like a great fit.

found one! Withered Fig! Now I just hope it fits.
-
I could’ve done the XL but considering the cost, it just wasn’t dialed enough for me to be happy with it. Plus I looked at my 295 that I haven’t worn nearly enough and figured it’d more than meet the need.
-
@popvulture 295 is a masterpiece.
Sucks it didn’t work out, but you know as well as anyone, if it’s not going to work then no point in banishing it to the closet full of shirts that don’t get worn either.Hell, I have so many shirts I love and too many of them don’t get the wear they deserve.
-
@Mizmazzle beautiful!!! you chose very well my friend, I don't like things that are too symmetrical! I really like the arrangement

Hi! I'm new here. I felt this shirt warranted finally signing up and saying something. I was pretty late to the 21oz sashiko party and only heard about it once stockists started posting images on socials a week or so ago. By then nearly everyone had sold out of all the most popular sizes. But I got lucky with a place in Minnesota called BlackBlue. Shirt showed up today and Woah... Incredible!
I'm usually between sizes with Iron Heart shirts. I can manage an L if I plan on wearing a jacket on top and usually and XL if I plan on making it the top layer. I got an XL and it fits me perfectly. -
I just wanted to show the shoulder measurements on my two shirts I ordered. Both sizes are coming in about an inch less than posted here. Yes there is a bend in the tape but even using both hands, no amount of adjustments got near the 18.3 for the large and 19.2 of the XL. I did noticed that the stockist I got one of my shirts from has the measurements of the XXL as 19. I'm wondering if this shirt just varied that wildly.
