Eyeglasses / Sunglasses Discussion

I have a bunch of friends getting into Warby Parker. They send you a box with the five frames you pick out. You try them on, pick 'em out, then let them know your prescription. They're only $95. I've been thinking about getting a pair or two as mine are starting to wear out. Anybody had any luck with them?

I have two pairs
One Thatcher tortoise shell (my fav)
and one Black… cant remember but it looks a lot like the thatcherBeen wearing them for about a year now. I love em. The Warby Parker logo on the inside of the black pair is rubbing off from wearing them every day for about 6 months, but... to be expected, I guess?
No structural damage. Wore the black ones while installing floors this summer.
I'd say go for it

Note, I cant bring myself to wear my black ones anymore because I love my tortoise ones so much

i like the actual glasses a lot rocket. I'm due for either new contacts or glasses and been debating similar or some dita frames

I like the looks of the Ditas. I just bought some Globe Specs from SE and they are pretty nice. They are getting some lenses put in as I type.

Have you checked out Orgreen, Rocket?
Just a word of warning, Orgreens are great and I love the design but you really have to be careful with them. If you ever sit on them or are rough with them, they're pretty much toast. I know from experience. This would apply to most titanium frames and the like but it's just something else to consider when looking for a new pair. I've been wearing acetate Cutler and Gross frames for around five years now. I've got matching glasses and prescription sunglasses and I can't speak highly enough of them. I've dropped them, sat on them, had many a drunken night with them and they still look and fit great.
