IHTL-1301 - Waffle Knit Long Sleeved Crew Neck Thermal Top - BLK, GRY or WHT

@Kingsselvedge no prob mate!

I received a new black and white yesterday and noticed some of my existing thermals we're shorter in sleeve and overall length by about 1.5 to 2 inches. I had been noticing they felt short, especially in recent wears.
Anyone with similar experience in shrinkage and getting them lengthened out again? Looks like the suggested method is soaking with conditioner in warm water for 30 minutes and gently stretching afterwards, so I'm going to give that a shot.

@Jbailla2 sounds like the stretchiness of the fabric that they have become longer etc. new ones will slighly do the same, especially the grey and the white ones. Black, blue en dyed version don’t seem to do that in the way the other ones does tho. Overall they all run a little different in size but that is also stated on the IH website in it’s description. I think you can soak then and gently stretch them a little.

Curious if these soften up after washing? They have a crispy feeling when new
-
@HalfPastNever they get soft pretty quick as you get to wearing them and remarkably durable, I've still got my original that Giles gave me about 6 years ago. Wear it every winter.

Finally got the white for a Christmas gift from the wife. I forgot how burly these things are new.

Curious if anybody who’s owned both the grey and the black can speak to the chart differences. I wear an L in these, and own the black and olive — I’ve wanted the grey but it’s almost 2” bigger P2P.
Going down to M makes sense with the chest, but I lose a lot in other dimensions that probably wouldn’t end up working so well. So TLDR — is that extra dim in the chest noticeable when you wear one of these?

I've got both from the last run in L and didn't notice a difference in sizing new @popvulture . After a bunch of wear maybe the grey loosens up faster and feels a little softer. I trusted the size chart and also got a navy in XL but it's noticably larger despite the chart indicating it had similar dims at the time. No clue if anything has changed or not. Go by length on these imo as the arms and body came up on mine and the width easily stretches to whatever it needs to seemingly. Mine tighten up like mad after a wash and tumble dry fyi. I like mine to fit snug and it's all worked out. Maybe try emailing the team if they can find a narrow large.

@pechelman thank you! That all makes sense — and I’m the same as you in wanting them to feel snug. Sizing down seemed like it’d be fine stretch wise in the shoulders, but I wouldn’t be super psyched about the seams falling too narrow, kind of a funny look. Plus the arms and overall length were too short for my liking.
I’ll prob snag a grey L next time I put in an order for something else. Love these thermals so much. Comfy beasts.
