IHSH-33-IND - 12oz Selvedge Denim Western Shirt - Indigo

Washing alone inside out on cold with very little detergent shouldn’t affect the color or size too much. No dryer. The armpits are the biggest issue so if you want to wash less frequently you can use a mixture of white vinegar and water to kill the bacteria. After it dries there’s no residual vinegar smell, unlike clothes fresheners which I find to be very heavily fragranced. Tide makes a spray for this purpose as well but I haven’t used it.
Don’t be afraid of the shirt fading though. That’s what it’s meant to do. Now that you’re past your gateway pants and shirt there’ll be no shortage of new looking shirts in your future.

It poses a few questions:
- Jeans I can wear daily for over 150 days without a wash. This probably doesn't work for a shirt. How do I keep the indigo and also keep it clean? What do you advise (apart from not wearing it to the gym) to not make it smell?
- Does the shirt shrink when washing. As the fit is perfect at the moment, will a wash ruin that?
- If it does shrink, can I stretch it back when still damp. It works on my jeans.
Nice pic and welcome to the forum.
1. wearing with a thin undershirt will slow down the accumulation of odour. When you wash it, either machine wash at 30C, no spin, or hand wash. Use colour fast detergent.
2. it shrinks very little. Maybe 1cm in length, 5mm at the shoulder and chest.
3. It relaxes again with wear again. You can also definitely stretch it along the seams when wet to mitigate the little shrinkage there is.

@Giles
The permex snaps in brass looking awesome
You should think of producing them , I bet they would sell good on indigo an black shirts as well ! -
@neph93 @Matt @bob_z @Kasi Thanks guys, great to see this forum is so active. Have worn the shirt for 5 days now. Buddy asked today if I could help him move a lot of stuff from his garage box to his attic today. Crossed my mind to change into old clothes for a second. But in the end, my IH777 and IHSH33 are workwear so I spent the day lifting heavy stuff. So keeping my shirt clean of dirt and clean of sweat didn't really work out. Might have to use your washing tips already

@Capibaro the stuff's made to be worn hard — it'll end up looking better in the end! Don't worry a bit, just wear, wash, and enjoy
