@goosehd im leaving the motor alone for now. Just a cleaner and a pipe. Maybe a Dyno Vision Target tune. This off-season I’ll do cams, oil pump, injectors and a throttle body.
The 88” TC only had 24k of light use, is not leaking oil and makes very decent power.
I think before I’d do a big bore kit (and probably weld the crank too, and the head work) I’d remove the 88 (for a TC FXR swap) shelve it, and drop a 111T or 124T crate into it. -
@Autorotate Looks fantastic, any chance you could post a short video so that we can hear what those pipes sound like?
-
@Jett129 i can try to take a video of it running. It’s currently on my lift getting the suspension mounted.
But I can tell you this, it’s a “loud-ish” deep rumble. Not raspy. Sounds very Harley. Doesn’t bark like a Thunder Header. Decel popping sounds cool. It hasn’t been tuned for the cleaner and pipe, but makes perfect torque from a standstill and revs really fast and makes great seat of the pants acceleration. I’m very happy with it. It’s a 4.5” SP Concepts pipe. TC Bros has them in stock. Many applications and reasonably priced, IMO. -
I’m a big fan of 2/1 pipes,as I had the Vance and Hines 2/1 Pro Pipe on my last 2 Harleys. When I saw the picture I couldn’t help but think that must sound great, and maybe loud. @Autorotate

It’s my first bike I always wanted a 48 but with the euro 4 and not being stocked in the uk any longer this took my fancy.
I absolutely love it it’s great to ride and goes like hell think it’s 125BHP as standard .
But I just don’t ride it enough ,the weather is crap in the Uk most of the year so it’s sat in the garage.. -
Finally a Ducatista, picked up my SF V4S on Thursday. Now to get the first 1000kms out of the way. 24 hours and 200kms down

Been commuting (48miles, one way) on my Road King last 2 weeks. It’s everything I wanted. Storage, smooth ride, comfortable and sporty suspension, and I’m really happy with the aesthetics. Definitely more “Dyna Bagger” than Grandpa dresser. LOL.
The FXRT fairing and Baja Designs LED lights are on order and painting has been scheduled. Keeping the 100 Anniversary theme.
I’ll admit I could’ve probably bought a Dyna/FXR to achieve what we see here, but I really wanted the bagger geometry and road feel. When riding I feel so much more planted. No doubt, this bike is heavier than the alternative…
I’m not a windshield guy (for looks) but damn is it a slice of heaven rolling down the highway at 80 and not getting blasted by the air. I show up to work exhilarated, not fatigued. The fairing should tie everything together. Cruising comfort and looks.
