IH-1955-UHR - Ultra Heavy Raw 1955 Cut
-
@mpukas I apologize for the late response. I must have missed the notification. Mine are size 32. The UHR denim stretches past presoak size. If i didn't have a gut I could have gone down 1 or 2 more sizes as the high rise sits at natural waist vs hips like the other cuts.

Freshly repaired by Indigoproof and I promptly took them to Japan and Singapore for some denim adventures. Not too many Japan photos yet (hopefully my friends took some shots) but here's a few singapore shots.
Singapore humidity nearly killed me. Flip flops saved me.
Meeting up with some denim friends
Hanging at the capsule hotel
UHRs keeping me upright after 52 hours of no bed. -
Great post.

I don't think I have ever added any shots of my 1955 UHR's. So here are a few from today.

I can confidently say that these are past 1000 days of wear, which was my goal. Here is my photo update.

The Iron Heart 1000 day threshold is a glorious achievement. Every pair should be so lucky. These are wonderful!

@FormulaPfaff ….. W.O.W. ??? ??? ???
They are simply wonderful. Thanks for sharing. New project now? One under way?

Thanks for the kind words! Not sure about the next project yet. My two NF 32oz pairs still have a lot of life left in them but adding a pristine pair of Iron Heart pants would be a great addition. I've toyed with the idea of the 25oz but still not sure. I can't imagine a more interesting fabric than the UHR.

It depends on your definition of interesting. I'm a fan of both the UHR and the 25oz. Very different denims though. The UHR is certainly fascinating in it's evolution, but the change that the XHS goes through is quite dramatic both in terms of fade patterns and the transition from body armour to cosiness. The lateral fading and subtle slubiness is the icing on the cake.

It's been a while friends. Here's a lazy update on my UHRs. @Appfaff mentioned them in another thread and it seemed like a good idea to show how incredibly this fabric ages. I'll be taking some proper shots ASAP. Until then, here's some quick phone shots of the age and fit.
Easily 1300 days of wear and pretty sizable holes now, although those have been advantageous for the summer temps in Texas. They definitely need a third trip to Indigoproof now that they are trying to turn themselves into jorts via the front pocket bag blowouts.

Now that UHR is coming back, I hope we see them in 1955. These are great shots. My 777UHR aren't nearly as far along. I hope to live that long.

Epic. The cat in the shoebox takes it up an extra level

Any updates on a new release for these IH Crew? Cheers!

Now this would be a cut I could bear the UHR in…..

@Matt734 There is no plans of yet to use the UHR on the 1955 cut yet as we have only just re-released the 1955, we will do another fabric at some point due to there popularity from the last release just not sure when and what fabric. As for the UHR material it has been made and allocated for the core cuts this year for their release in July/August time, so there wont be enough for the 1955 this time.
