White's Boots

Very nice. I like those a lot; the red dog leather really is a good color.
-
Yep, those are great!
-
Finally get to wear these, along with my DC4x Iron Heart DC4001.
-
Looking good NCA, and if you ever want to offload any more of your White's please feel free to drop me a PM
-
A little utilitarian for my taste, but the build quality does look immense.

Homing in on something like this:

I think so, it is called a false tongue.

Nice choice H, the classic work boots are beauties. Jestre's chromexcel ones made me get the urge for some too.
-
Liking these… Red Dog, Northwest last, Portland sole...
Does anybody have pics of worn out red dog leather?
Holla, I almost bought a pair of SD's in Red Dog a few weeks ago but they were too small, on sale too. Really love the red dog color in any of their boots.

Go with the chromexel. I've never been very impressed with water buffalo. It's thin and easily scratched and scarred. The chromexel probably doesn't polish up as nicely, so if you want the boots for dressier occasions, it might be a better choice, but for just knocking around in everyday wear, I'd pass.

Ah, I lived under the impression that water buffalo had to be extra thick and strong, learn something every day, thanks for the heads up!
I'm going to use the boots for work, complementing my brown chromexcel alden indys for when I wear black denim.
