@Giles apologies if you've been asked this before but what are your thoughts on having an IH exclusive fading contest? Maybe just on the forum?
-
@Giles @Alex hope you had a great bank holiday.
What happened to the DWC why did that come to an end? just been looking through the previous comps. The best part… IH designing a pair of jeans for that year incredible , would love something like that to run again.. what are the chances? I bet there is a load of forum members who would love to be apart of this.. -
Good question James
-
I'll answer, though this was a bit before my time so @Giles may want to add more..
The DWC was never an Iron Heart specific contest, in the sense that we did not organise it. It was put together and run by @Megatron1505, and Iron Heart helped make jeans and sponsor/judge etc etc. I think Gavin got busy, and the admin required to manage the participants was very taxing. A break was taken at some point, and it never returned. In the interim, the Indigo Invitational was born, and I am not sure that we need two competing contests in the world. (but that is just me). If the guys from the II wanted to make an II/IH collaboration jean to coincide with a future contest, I would be open to it, but we have not been asked

Yes, this was a Beatle / @Megatron1505 thing, not an Iron Heart thing.

What kind of service/repair shop should i look for shortening sleeves on my IH-526Lod ?
Do they need the same (union special) machine used for hemming the jeans? I went to my local tailor and he just said - my machine can’t go through that -
If you’re are in the USA I would give this lady a call.

The Union Special 43200G, is just one of them, and all that does is sew the hem.
You'll need a very good tailor who has a bullet proof walking-foot (or something like that. But frankly, I would not bother, the risks are massive.

Thanks @Giles - yeah, i’ll just wear it as it is, it’s maybe a 2-3cm’s extra long
-
@pechelman hell yeah!! For real that made me laugh pretty damn hard. Good medicine! I needed it.

My names not Giles but I’d have to say if it looks ok then it is. And that’s one hell of a surprise find. Congratulations.
I used to love finding forgotten Xmas presents in a closet somewhere when i was a kid. I found an extremely small Transformer one year and it was like full on Xmas all over again.

Was wondering why I have never seen any “ pleated” work shirts before.
I mean the pleats, or “ darts” on the back of a shirt along the yoke.
Was the boss just not liking that look?
