I also want to see Anora, just seems to be my kind of film. Oppenheimer needs some effort to watch, and due to it's length and the political bickering was in parts a bit boring for me. But the filmography and acting is a real pleasure. Who hasn't seen Parasite yet, should do this. It's just wonderful. Exciting, funny, weird, beautiful - all to the right amount IMO. Tonight, it'll be Sympathy for Mr. Vengeance for me, since I haven't seen that one yet- The last (for me, actually the first) of Park Chan-wook's Vengeance Trilogy.

@endo there’s a Korean film called “I Saw the Devil” that I highly recommended. It’s so crazy moody and violent and well done.

I saved this post to remind myself I need to catch up on some “real” movies. Only one on this list I’ve seen is “Nomadland”. Really want to see Anora. I loved Baker’s movie “The Florida Project”
Wild. I’ve seen exactly two of those, Parasite (which I think @Matt would enjoy) and Oppenheimer. I enjoyed both of them immensely. I’m sure I’d enjoy a couple more from that list. Maybe one day…

@jordanscollected agreed, it is a good film.
The bad guy in it, is also in the original Old boy which is also a good film. Josh Brolin played his part in the remake. -
@endo excellent choice

@endo now we are talking

Best films of the past 5 or so years that first come to mind for me would be “three billboards, jojo rabbit, and poor things”. “dune” is shaping up to be to a masterpiece but this is known.

@SKT want to see that one. Speaking of animation, we loved Wild Robot. Heartwarming tale.
-
@mclaincausey oh man we are big fans of Wild Robot. We all read the book and saw the movie in the theater. I think you will love Flow too
-
@mclaincausey I read the books to Imogene when she as little. We loved them.

Just completed Heretic on a flight. I’ll give it a B.

Parasite is a great movie.
I can add two more great Korean movies - Memories of murder (same director as Parasite) and Train to Busan (one of the best zombie movies for me).
