Every now and again, it’s good to be reminded that there are few things more important than finding a spot of sunshine, and lying in it.

This is Carl. Carl has been through a lot in his 5 years. Carl, however, is a champ! Smart, loyal, and one hell of a fishing buddy. Carl was recently diagnosed with Pannus. A shit eye condition that is made worse by UV light and elevation. Two things Colorado has in abundant supply. So now, Carl has to wear doggles when playing out in the sun.

I’m proud to say, it took him about three days of training to learn how to rock these things. Smart as a whip and cute as a bugs ear!!

Thanks fellas. He is a really incredible dog. Honestly I feel humbled by him as he’s been so sweet and trusting of me through all his issues. I can feel his trust in me when I have to do things to him that make him uncomfortable. He takes it all with a tail wag and a floppy eared smile.
