The (Less intimidating) Watch Thread

I picked up a vintage non working Chronosport UDT Sea Quartz. I mainly wanted it because it was the watch Stallone wore in the Rambo movies. There is a guy in Australia that fixes them so I’ve sent it off to him for repair. Hear is a non working photo.
-
I’m pretty excited to get it back from repair. After re reading my post it sounds like its the actual watch he wore in the movies. This is just the same make and model he wore.

@WhiskeySandwich looks like a good fit for your wrist despite your previous comment about their size.
Loving mine a few months in, seems to go with everything!
As someone that hasn't worn a watch regularly for years, I'm finding myself having to resist buying more now I've become accustomed to having something on my wrist.
I'm finding this particularly alluring at the moment...

Cool watch! You can also try and find an old Certina DS-2 with a thick plexiglass. They were and still are such cool watches.

Here's some nice info on them:
-
@deanclean there's just been an article posted on Hodinkee about a remake of the UDT. It's coming soon from Momentum Watches.
-
@Graeme yes thank you I read it. I believe it is out now. It’s sold out on the Momentum sight. The new ones are nice and would definitely take on water better than my old one. I never really heard of the brand before and it looks like the Chronosport ones were a pretty good watch. The guy repairing mine has got it working again so hopefully I’ll back in a week or so after he is done testing.

@Giles i always liked the look of those squared-off Gshocks...
is that the "arnie" seiko?
-
@Mizmazzle thanks. They’re great watches. I’ve had and sold off a few but I think I finally found the right one for me. This colorway just dropped and it’s pretty great. Highly recommend.

One of my absolute fave GShocks

@Anesthetist that’s a really nice looking watch. Pretty simple design, but looks cool.
